Nazi Hunters - 2007

Who would have thought that over sixty years after the end of the Second World War, there would still be Nazi Hunters?

Simon Wiesenthal - Nazi Hunter
Simon Wiesenthal - Nazi Hunter

I am sorry that these "
Old Nazi Hunters" can't let go now ... what are they going to do in ten years time, when even the youngest war criminal would be at least 87 (assuming they committed the crimes aged 16 or 17 in 1945), and more realistically they would be more like 97 yrs old or older?

Saudi Spin on Sharia Justice

The story of the Saudi rape victim, who has been put into prison and ordered to be whipped just refuses to go away (although the deafening silence from our 'boy' Foreign Secretary would make you wonder if it had ever arrived).

Saudi Women Don't Offer Men Lifts
Saudi Women Don't Offer Men Lifts

The Saudi's, in an effort to put a better spin on their barbaric legal system, have decided to release "New" details. Well according to official press agency, "The Saudi justice minister expressed his regret about the media reports over the role of the woman in this case, which put out false information and wrongly defend her," the statement said, "The charged girl is a married woman who confessed to having an affair with the man she was caught with." .... well that's OK then, be still my liberal heart.

Clash of Artistic Cultures?

There is a program on TV calledThis is Civilisation on Channel Four (UK) at the moment.

Civilisation
Civilisation

It's premise is that an art critic makes a personal selection of the greatest artistic moments and monuments of history, in a story that weaves together three great civilisations – Christianity, Islam, and the Pagan culture of ancient Greece – showing how each has influenced the other, and how the art that all three religions have left behind continues to shape our world.

Sharia Law is Barbarism

I don't normally blog about other blog sites (with the odd few exceptions), but I happened across two articles and a news report, that were related to an earlier blog, and therefore worth following up further. I mentioned the case of a Saudi woman who was gang raped, and then sentenced to a prison sentence, as well as 200 lashes, for her "sins" under Saudi's Sharia Laws.

Why western women are not out on the streets, demanding the expulsion from the UK, and other western countries of every Iman who proposes these barbaric laws be brought here, shows just how the media is suppressing the truth in it's lack of reports on this story.

Anyway there has been further developments from the US, where politicians are not frightened to bloody death of Muslim rage (we really are in a state of Dhimmitude in the UK), the two contenders for the Democratic bid for the presidency (Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama) have both condemned the Saudi courts and said that its "beyond unjust" and urged "President Bush to call on King Abdullah to cancel the ruling and drop all charges against this woman"

Noticeably no European, and no British Politicians have stood up and said one word, although the BBC have run it as a talking point. Where is Gordon Brown and our Foreign Secretary, when you would expect their ethical foreign policy to be to the fore? They are praising the Saudi King for his shared values with the UK (well, as we are on our way to becoming a Muslim state, they may be right), and suppressing reports that there was bribery involved in our latest arms deals with the Saudi regime.

However a Muslim speaker has started campaigning for Sharia Laws to at least be reformed. Hasan Mahmud, the Director of Sharia Law of the Muslim Canadian Congress has campaigned in Canada against the imposition of Sharia Courts there (shockingly they operated there for twelve years). The interview he gave is on the link of his name.

Gordon Browns Cabinet of Pygmies and Yes men

Gordon Brown has set his inner cabinet team as being all his personal friends and protégés, many of whom have barely been MP’s for more than a few years.

Apart from the fact that it displays what a paranoiac Gordon Brown is by removing any ‘big beasts’ against whom he might be unfavourably compared, it also makes this possibly the worst cabinet in modern UK history. Judging by the "Annus Horribilis" that PM Brown is now having, it shows.

So let’s have a look at this collection of misfits and inadequate’s, seven of whom have been MP’s for less than ten years:

Chancellor of the Exchequer: Alistair Darling (a.k.a 'Mini Me' or Gordon Brown) MP from 1987 (Scotland) Treasury Minister under Gordon Brown since 1996. Taken over just in time to preside over, and take the blame for, any collapse in the economy. He has so far managed to get embroiled in the Northern Rock collapse, and the loss of 25 million data records .... not bad going.

Home Secretary: Jacqui Smith had been an MP since 1997 (England), and first held minor office in 2003. She was plucked from this relative obscurity by Gordon Brown in 2007, and is an admitted former drug taker who has been nicknamed “Jacqui Spliff” in some quarters. She is most noticeable for her perpetual spinning of every disaster to blame it on the Tories (best), or predecessor (2nd best), but not herself.

Most recently was found to have buried yet another illegal immigration story until the press discovered it. Is very PC and ‘on message’ in her public statements e.g. funded the LGBT history month (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) – or recently telling everyone who would listen that ‘mass immigration is good for UK’ despite evidence that at best it’s a neutral cost, and that in reality many groups (especially from Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Somalia), all Muslims, are just benefit migrants and are an active drain on the economy as well providing a source of terrorism.

Foreign Secretary: David Miliband (who is fast becoming an international joke). Been an MP since 2001 (England), and served as a backbencher for barely a year before ‘fast pathing’ to one of the big three jobs in UK politics. Working for Gordon Brown, before becoming an MP, appears to be the key reason for his fast track promotion to the post of Foreign Secretary.

Recently tried to suggest that, the countries of the Maghreb, and the Middle East, could all become members of the EU inside the next 25 yrs. He was described by an old style Labour MP (‘Bob’ Marshall-Andrews – England 1997) as "this pillock on his gap year” as he careers from capital to capital dispelling pearls of wisdom.

Schools Secretary: Ed Balls (Couldn’t make this name up) MP since 2004 (England). Worked for Gordon Brown since 1994 and therefore didn’t have to bother with waiting for high office. Ed has managed to be in post just long enough to watch the UK fall from 3rd to 15th (out of 41 participating countries) on the Pirls ladder of core reading skills. And fresh in we have fallen from 4th to 14th in the teaching of science.

That crashing noise you hear, is yet another new labour key policy hitting a brick wall..... it seems a long time since "Education, Education, Education" was one of the New Labour battle cries.

Cabinet Office Minister: Ed Miliband Bother of David Miliband (You get the picture) and son of a Marxist theorist (who said communism failed?). Worked for Gordon Brown from 1994 and became another “shoe in” MP from 2005 (England).

Secretary of State of International Development: Douglas Alexander became MP in 1997 (Scotland). Worked for Gordon Brown in 1990 … staunch Brownite from the start. (Odd how 'Thatcherism' survived as a political dogma whereas 'Blairism' has gone).

Housing Minster: Yvette Cooper Married to Ed Balls (Really, you can’t make this nepotism up) Former policy adviser to Gordon Brown. MP since 1997 (England)

Defence Secretary: Des Browne MP since 1997 (Scotland) worked for Gordon Brown at the treasury in 2005. Recently got on the wrong side of more ex generals and defence chiefs than you could shake a pointy stick at. He is the first man to be Scottish Secretary as well as Defence Secretary, which prompted the row. Somehow this became an attack on Gordon Brown as well, when he was accused of treating the forces with "contempt".

Transport Secretary: Ruth Kelly MP since 1997 (England) worked for Gordon Brown at the treasury in 2001. Only claim to fame is that she is a strong catholic who has issues about some pro homosexual policies (she overcame her scruples) .... She also had problems with child sex offenders employed in schools, and also sending her son to a fee-paying school, rather than the comprehensive system. Was a Blairite. (Seeing as everyone else in the Labour Party does the same thing, I am not sure why this was 'controversial' rather than just plain 'hypocritical'?)

Three things immediately strike you about this list:

  1. Every one of these appointees has barely served anytime as MP’s, most have served no apprenticeship as a junior minister, and some have done nothing before elevation.

What do all those time served labour MP’s, who have been MP’s for decades think when they see policy wonks given safe seats and instant cabinet status? If I was one of them, I would be looking round for others of a like mind, forming a caucus of 70 Labour MP’s, and then giving Gordon a list of reforms to get rid of these little oiks.
  2. That everyone in his inner cabinet is a personal appointee of Gordon Brown, there are no ‘Blairites’ (if such a thing exists) and no political counter weights, aka ‘Big Beasts’ who could offer his cabinet a political balance, such as that which Brown provided to Blair, or Heseltine did for Thatcher. You have to assume that his well known fear of being contradicted or challenged, has caused him to pick political pygmies who will never be big enough to threaten him.

This is particularly noticeable when you consider the make up of previous Labour governments: Clement Attlee’s postwar government contained Ernest Bevin, Herbert Morrison and Stafford Cripps who were all household names before taking office. Harold Wilson had his successor James Callaghan, the urbane Roy Jenkins and the intellectual bruiser, Denis Healey and even maverick George Brown.

The famous Thatcher joke was her and the cabinet sitting down for a meal and the waiter asking her what she would have to eat? and she said “ Steak” and the waitere asks her ‘what about the vegtables?’ she replied “Oh they’ll have the same” … she could get away with this joke because the cabinet contained Heseltine, and Clarke, but what has Brown got apart from a cabinet of yes men and women?
  3. How the MP intake in New Labour is now centrally controlled with ‘local party democracy’ all but obsolete. Virtually every one of the ministers listed was a ‘parachuted’ into safe Labour seats that they would never have been selected for except via central control. E.g. one of these urbanites represents ‘South Shields’ and another Doncaster …. Hmm how long will they stay their once they retire? … Taxi for Miliband!
As an aside, I reckon this practise of parachuting of (mostly southern) appointees into safe Northern seats, damages Labour (and the same for the Tories) in the long run, by killing local parties. Anyone with ambition to be an MP now realises that becoming a councillor, and working for a local party, will get you overlooked when the time comes to select a party representative for MP in a safe seat. The route now is central office and a safe seat as the PM’s or Chancellors gift. This is the death knell to local seats and councillors and local democracy, all things that the PM says he wants but obviously can’t commit to.

I would be interested to know how many MP’s these days come from the city they represent and what was the figure 50 yrs ago?

I think Gordon Brown may have shot his bolt …there is a wave of anti Brown feeling sweeping the country at the moment, and its reflecting in his personal rating as he slumps to his lowest rating. Many Labour voters see New labour as Pro Immigrant, Anti White, Pro European, and anti English, according to the conversations I am now hearing.

European Football Championships - Scotland

The Scots were deeply upset because their team got beat by Italy, and didn't qualify for the European football Championships. Despite the fact that the Scots had a chance, in reality this wasn't really a surprise, but they had got themselves so worked up that they had to lash out afterwards.

Damn The Scots .... The Ruined Scotland

Inevitably it was somehow the English's fault, and when Israel beat Russia to raise the possibility that England would some what luckily qualify (they need only a draw against a Croatia who have already qualified), violence took place.

My Scots friend texted me to say that when Israel scored the winner, a group of English people in the pub were physically attacked. Having been in Scotland, and seen how "racist" they can be about the English and sports when otherwise rational people become violent and abusive in their hatred, its very daft but also disturbing.

Scotland get a life, stop blaming England for all your failures!

How are we are to take you seriously, if you are carrying a chip on your shoulders about the size of a plank? Apart from anything else it makes you walk with a national limp.

JUST IN CASE YOU FORGOT .... WE DIDN'T FORCE YOU TO CREATE THE UNION! You joined of your own accord because you were broke and needed England to pay off your national debt, which your 'old alliance' were about to foreclose on.

It's equally up to you to leave the 'Union' by voting SNP and Yes to the referendum question. Easy as that, so there is no historical or real basis to think of yourselves as being oppressed by England.

You came into the Union of your own accord and can leave of your own accord. Beating up or abusing English sports supporters doesn't change the facts, and makes you Racist Neds.

Addendum: Just to keep the record straight, England failed to take advantage of their good fortune and lost to Croatia at home 2:3 and so failed to qualify. There was no doubt much celebration in Scotland at the fact that they did so, but with no British teams qualifying it's gonna take away the main Scottish occupation of supporting everyteam that England played against ..... so there will be two nations twiddling their thumbs next summer.

The England manager got sacked (but paid 2.5 million for his failure), and much wailing, gnashing of teeth and tearing of clothes has taken place in England since. Oddly England are now only second seeds in their world cup qualifying group, which is headed by ..... Croatia, so it could all happen again as only one team qualifies from the group.

The Saudi's, Our Civilised Friends

Last week the Saudi ruler King Abdullah was feted in a visit to the UK. He was hailed as a ‘reformer’ and ‘liberal’ by the certain delusional sections of our Government, although thankfully not by the press at large.

Remembrance Day 2007

There was a minutes silence to respect the Armistice and remember the British fallen, at a football match between Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. Nothing unusual about that, except that it was immaculately observed at a large football match for the first time in a number of years.

The BBC and Dr Badri

If you read this story on the BBC UK terror tactics 'create unease' you might be forgiven for believing that Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari was being entirely reasonable in his opinions, indeed mild might be the term used when he claimed that

Every society has to be really careful so that situation does not lead us to a time when people's minds can be poisoned as they were in the 1930s. If your community is perceived in a very negative manner, and poll after poll says that we are alienated, then Muslims begin to feel very vulnerable. We are seen as creating problems, not as bringing anything, and that is not good for society."

He was responding to comments by the head of MI5, that there were 2,000 people living in Britain who pose a terrorism-related danger, and that youngster’s aged 15 were being groomed to be suicide bombers.

Unfortunately I happened to look up and read the full story on the Daily Telegraph only to find that the most prominent part of the interview wasn’t the part we could all agree had some truth (no one likes being vilified in the press), but this veiled threat

But some police officers and sections of the media are demonising Muslims, treating them as if they're all terrorists — and that encourages other people to do the same. If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists — 700,000 of them in London," he said. "If you attack a whole community, it becomes despondent and aggressive."

In other words “If you don’t treat us as with the respect that we want", then you can expect to be attacked “with two million Muslim terrorists” this wasn’t worthy of report by the BBC. Read the two stories and make up your own minds.

If you agree with me and think that the BBC have deliberately misled people over the content and thrust of Dr Badri's comments then I suggest that you complain to the BBC.

If the BBC realise that they must not apply different reporting standards to certain groups (presumably because their 'ethnic' and its 'cultural'), then maybe they will not risk becoming just another biased news group with a PC 'multicultural' agenda.

My Complaint to the BBC

On both Radio 4 and the subsequent hourly news headlines on Radio 5, they both discussed the interview given by Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari with the Daily Telegraph, in which they reported that he had said that the way Britain had responded to the terror threat would "create unease" in the Muslim Community. In fact the word "Unease" didn't feature on the Daily Telegraph article on the web.

What Dr Bari did say was "If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists — 700,000 of them in London". This statement, or threat, was not mentioned once in the BBC reporting, nor in any interview, despite the fact that it featured at the top of the reported newspaper interview.

In fact the article also attributed Dr Bari with the opinion that "continued negative attitudes towards people of his faith could provoke a vast and angry backlash" but the words 'vast and angry' appear to have bypassed the BBC. He also was quoted as saying that he picked up a mood of "anxiety, frustration and, especially among young people, anger" but not the word ‘unease’.

The BBC on both the Radio and on the web chose the word 'Unease' in quotes to characterise the tone of the interview (as reported on the web), when it wasn't apparently used. The fact that he predicts 700,000 terrorists in London alone, was never mentioned once, despite the both apocalyptic tone of these predictions, and the implied threat to the media to change or else.

Either the guy is a self appointed delusionist who thinks that "700,000" Mujaheddin will rise up in the streets of London if the media carries on reporting Islam and Muslims negatively, or he a credible voice and deserves to be quoted properly when he makes these predictions.

The BBC can't just make up a moderate quote, that didn't actually exist, and attribute it to an interview that was neither moderate (with its threats of 2 million Muslim terrorists rising up), nor very considered, and expect this to be the basis of further discussion just because the subject is a Muslim.

I put it to you that if the BBC had ignored the phrase “the River Tiber foaming with much blood” from the Enoch Powell speech in 1968, that would have been considered bad reporting.

So why 40 yrs later is the BBC now apparently willing to ignore provocative sections of a speech on a similar subject to make its author appear moderate?

Is it because there are now separate reporting standards applied to Muslims, and the non Muslim populations? If so, then surely this a charter matter and we deserve to know what these new standards are?

Note: I will report back and publish the BBC dismissal of this complaint.... it won't go farther because its not an opinion that the BBC hierarchy wishes to encourage.

The Muslim Council of Britain is an umbrella group representing over 500 Muslim groups in the UK. Dr Bari, the chair of the East London mosque, succeeded Sir Iqbal Sacranie as leader of the organisation last year.

The BBC has replied and obviously I was wrong (it appears that there were two versions of the story on the web) ..... LOL, but I publish the replies anyway.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the 10 November edition of 'Today'.I understand that you felt that the 'Today' programme and subsequent Radio 5 Live reports erroneously quoted Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari from an interview with the Daily Telegraph.

However, the following Daily Telegraph webpage emphatically demonstrates that the "thick with suspicion and unease" term was apparent in their interview with Dr Bari:

The Telegraph.co.uk article you consulted dates from September 2006 whereas our story was based on the interview Dr Bari gave to the Telegraph last weekend. Some of the views he put forward were similar but they were very different interviews.
I have checked our article against the newspaper and also how other newspapers and media outlets covered the story and I am satisfied we gave a fair and balanced account of the views Dr Bari put forward in this interview, as well as the responses it generated later that day.

Well that answers that then, but just leaves the little question why the more provocative interview was not reported by the BBC?

Rivers Of Blood

Once again the news is filled with the phrase “Rivers of Blood” and the name of Enoch Powell. This time it’s because a wannabe Tory politician has said that “When you ask most people in the Black Country (Midlands area) what the single biggest problem facing the country is, most say immigration. …. Many insist: 'Enoch Powell was right'.

It’s an oft quoted line from the speech, and despite the PC lefties making it virtually a racist offence to mention it in public, you hear it a lot in salon bars and working men’s clubs across the nation. It’s become a sort of code for the fact that most people will privately agree with its sentiments, whilst publicly stating the opposite.

This is a reflection of how well the media and left wing have stifled all debate on a subject, that given the intense nature of peoples private beliefs, the right wing have handled so badly. Turning a natural vote winner into a handicap, because they couldn’t take on leftie propaganda, was a pretty dumb trick and did a lot of electoral damage.

The original speech made in 1968 made the following points:
  • In 15 or 20 years (i.e. 1988), on present trends, there will be in this country, three and a half million (New) Commonwealth immigrants and their descendants.
  • There is no comparable official figure for the year 2000, but it must be in the region of five to seven million, approximately one-tenth of the whole population, and approaching that of Greater London.
  • There will be annual inflows of some 50,000 dependants, who are for the most part the material of the future growth of the immigrant-descended population.
  • The formation of a Race Relations Board will allow the immigrant population to agitate and campaign against their fellow citizens, and to overawe and dominate the rest with the legal weapons which the ignorant and the ill-informed have provided.
  • That Britain will invite the creation of the same social problems that the US inherited with the Negro population.

OK now I may be losing my ability to analyse issues, so I will quote the latest figures for the predictions.

According the CIA world fact book, with a population officially stated as 60.5 million, the ethnic mix of the UK is as follows (2001):
  • White: 92.1% (55,660,000)
  • Black or Brown (New Commonwealth): 6.3% (3,811,500) – Mr Powell predicted 5 million for AD 2000, however there are believed to be at least 500,000 illegal’s in the UK so he’s not that far wrong.
  • Other: 1.6% (968,000)

According the Office of National Statistics *Net Immigration to the UK was as follows:
  • 2000: 162,800
  • 2001: 171,000
  • 2002: 153,400
  • 2003: 151,000
  • 2004: 222,600
*(Immigrants minus Emigrants)

Of course this is all sources, not just New Commonwealth, but they are the majority and the term “net” in reality usually means White British emigration and majority non white immigration.

For a comprehensive look at these figures, including racial or geographical origins then go to this interactive report on the Born Abroad Project.

And for his other two predictions, well how many people think that the Race Relations Board and its spin off groups, didn’t soon become a political body to beat up the white majority with, rather than a racial equality board? For instance an influential ‘New Labour’ “Think Tank”, the ‘Institute for Public Policy Research’ came up with the following suggestions.
  • Christmas should be downgraded in favour of festivals from other religions to improve race relations
  • Action to "ensure access" for ethnic minorities to "largely white" countryside.
  • Flying flags other than the Union Jack i.e. a Pakistani flag.

The report robustly defends multiculturalism - the idea that different communities should not be forced to integrate but should be allowed to maintain their own culture and identities. I would remind this New Labour band of PC brothers that a former Labour MP and Minister, John Stonehouse pointed out the folly of this approach in the 1960’s. “To claim special communal rights leads to a dangerous fragmentation within society. This communalism is a canker; whether practised by one colour or another, it is to be strongly condemned

Or if you think they are too far off beam (but they did come up with ID cards, bin taxes and road pricing), how about a girl denied a training course because she was “English and White” … If Enoch had suggested this would be the state in 2007, he would have been locked up, not just howled down.

Finally, I will simply point to the fact that our prison system holds
  • More than 11,000 of the 81,000 prison as foreign nationals.
  • And 25% of prison inmates were non white, 15% were black and 6% were Asian. As Non Whites only make up 7% of the population, the fact that they make up 25% of the prison population indicates that they are more than three times as likely to be involved in crimes. Isn’t that a sign that we have the same problems on race and integration as the US?

So factually there appears to be not one item wrong with the content of the Mr. Powell’s speech, so why the fuss? Why didn’t it open up the immigration and race debate that Enoch wanted?

Sadly Rivers Of Blood Are All Too Common These Days.

It’s got to be the term “I seem to see …’ the River Tiber foaming with much blood’" … as usual the Media and the Left misunderstood what an Oxford trained classical scholar was alluding to, it wasn’t a call to arms, but rather a dire warning of what may be. It was a classical allusion; to the Cumaean Sybil’s prophesy in Virgil’s Aeneid, bk. 6, l. 86: “Et Thybrim multo spumantem sanguine cerno.”

She is foreseeing the troubles that come from immigration, but it is to the troubles suffered by an immigrant that she refers – the hero, the immigrant in question—Aeneas—travels to Italy at the head of a determined retinue, carrying his household gods and a divine right of residence. His intention to settle is not to be gainsayed, and if this means “wars, horrid wars,” so be it…. i.e. the cause of the river foaming with much blood.

I might add that the phrase “rivers of blood” was also used by, among others, Thomas Jefferson and Winston Churchill…. However, it was an allusion that bypassed the comprehensive educated Left wing, and the equally ignorant chattering classes. He should have stuck to the Latin and it would have been ignored as “too highbrow”.

The left reacted to Powell and the mass support he received by the public, with the usual contempt they reserved for popular opinions that they don’t share. As the Labour Party politician Richard Crossman noted in his diaries, Powell had "stirred up the nearest thing to a mass movement since the 1930s", "stimulating a real revolt of the masses ... the illiterate industrial proletariat who have turned up in strength and revolted against the literate". A Gallup poll held at the end of April showed that 74% of the electorate agreed with Powell…. Whereas the political establishment might condemn him, he had clearly struck a chord with the "illiterate industrial proletariat". The 'illiterate industrial proletariat' aka the working class, that Mr Crossman was insulting were in fact 100% Labour voters.

As it was, Mr Powell's turn of phrase (just a little educated showing off for the classically trained), is likely to have prevented any coherent discussion, and maybe some action, on curbing immigration for 40 yrs. It probably did more damage to his own cause, and therefore many would, think our country, than Hitler’s bombs managed. Somewhat ironically the speech was delivered on the 20th April, Hitler’s birthday, by a patriotic man who was correct in his predictions, and who meant only to avert a social disaster.

To misquote from his speech, those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.

We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of such immigrant numbers that, for reasons which we can not comprehend, and in pursuance of a decision by default, on which we were never consulted, caused us the native population, to feel that we have found ourselves made strangers in our own country.

Rivers of Blood quotes:

We are asking the nations of Europe between whom rivers of blood have flowed to forget the feuds of a thousand years. Winston Churchill

The rivers of America will run with blood filled to their banks before we will submit to them taking the Bible out of our schools. William A. Sunday

..all will attain representative government, more or less perfect. This is now well understood to be a necessary check on kings, whom they will probably think it more prudent to chain and tame, than to exterminate. to attain all this however rivers of blood must yet flow, and years of desolation pass over. Thomas Jefferson.

The Croatian president accused Serbian President Mr. Milosevic of "staging land grabs to enlarge Serbia, and of provoking warfare that created rivers of blood.'' Croatia President, Stjepan Mesic

Revelations 16 which talks of the several bowls of God's wrath which are the 7 plagues. They are: Grievous sores; Seas of blood; Rivers of Blood; The Sun scorching people; Darkness; River Euphrates dries up; Severe earthquake.

The Colonel conquers North Korea

54 yrs after the ceasefire in the Korean War, the US finally found the secret of how to beat the Axis of evil. Send in the colonel, and I don't mean Oliver North …..I mean Colonel Sanders of course…. Yep it turns out that all the members of the Axis of Evil, such as North Korea, really wants, is a good old fashioned Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The BBC have a news story on the introduction of fast food to the North Koreans (mind you I had heard the fastest thing on two legs, was a chicken in North Korea). Now you might think that in a country where starvation is still common and real poverty 99% the norm, it would be difficult to obtain both regular meat, and customers, but you would be wrong.

Because, as is common in the other "communist paradises" that still exist (Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, and China) there is an increasingly wealthy elite. Back in the USSR there were dollar shops (Beriozka) and a black market for the elite, and that hasn’t changed in these rump communist states, where some comrades are always more 'equal' than others.

The irony of this situation never seems to turn the head of any of the elite in these workers states, which shows how corrupt communism, a theory that forgot that it was dealing with humans, was from its very inception. In Pyongyang, these elite have created a market for luxury products (food, toiletries, basic items ….) and it’s into this niche market that a South Korean business man hopes to expand the fast food franchise.

So, as soon as the Whitehouse has evaluated the colonel’s conquest, then we can expect to see the colonels mate Ronnie parachuted in, and the two of them then taking the beaches in Cuba and Iran over the next few years.
