Arab Virgins? Only in Paradise

Second story from the land of the Pharaohs: It appears that all is not as it should be in the land of the blessed ..... specifically, some of the boys and girls are playing 'Doctors and Nurses' out of school.

...... So, guess whats a big seller on the medical front .....  A female virginity-faking device!!

Apparently, the device is said to release liquid imitating blood, allowing a female to feign virginity on her wedding night...... nothing new in that bit anyway! However a 'leading' Egyptian scholar, Abdul Mouti Bayoumi , has, with the usual self restraint that Muslim Imams always show, demanded that people caught importing the virginity-faking device into the country, should face the "death penalty".

Although, on the face of it, it's hard to see how these boys and girls ever find out that they fancy each other, let alone have sex? In fact, in a companion news story, another 'leading cleric' (they have one of these on every street corner it seems) Sheikh Mohamed Tantawi, dean of al-Azhar university, has said he will issue a 'Fatwah' (religious edict) against the growing trend for full women's veils, known as the Niqab. He has apparently decided that full-face veiling is a custom that has nothing to do with the Islamic faith. Only took 1,300 yrs to reach that conclusion!

The niqab question reportedly arose, when Sheikh Tantawi was visiting a girls' school in Cairo at the weekend, and asked one of the students to remove her Niqab. The Egyptian newspaper al-Masri al-Yom quoted him expressing surprise at the girl's attire, and telling her it was merely a tradition, with no connection to religion or the Koran.

Of course it may be that the religious authorities are worried about the rise of religious extremists and the Niqab is widely associated with more radical trends of Islam. He might think to pass on his ruling to the UK inner cities, such as Preston, where this clothing item is now a common sight.

You would think these paragons of femininity, would appreciate living in a society where they can walk round dressed like a camel herders wife, and make obscene gestures, without fear of the usual male reprisals, that a Muslim male dominated society would hand out.

Or, just as happily, not have to dress like a camel herders wife, get fully and freely educated, aspire to any role they want to, and be independent. Without fear of the usual male reprisals that a Muslim male dominated society would hand out .........

  2. It might be interesting to you that Hajj or Pilgrimage to Saudi city of Makkah is one of five pillars of Islam. Every Muslim with enough financial and physical ability is required to go for it at least once in his life. During Hajj covering your face by either sexes is strictly prohibited. If you cover or veil your face during the pilgrimage, you Hujj is rendered void.

  3. Raaquim, that is interesting and no I didn't know it .... why for has this habit of women wearing face coverings and claiming its Islamic grown so strong that its causing problems in Turkey, Egypt, as well as European countries?

A Christian theologian once suggested that covering your face from God was to deny him seeing his creation, and therefore a sin.

  4. lol.. its not the truth what media want to show you you can not blame all Muslims Umaah for some stupid and uneducated people .. Islam ask women to hide their private body parts and protect their self from non-Mehrum (non-blood Siblings) Nd Do Not Use Seduceive Cloths or the kind of cloths which show shape of your body..!!
nd She Should cover her Body from face to till ankle and arms till hand .. and have really clear restriction in Quran About It ,,, And Have No-where In Quran Saying That Womens Can Not be Educated ..!! Its Just a Group Of People Who Treat Woman As Their camel and that dont make sence and which are the same people called (Taliban) ..
And Dont Forget For What We Came On Earth And How Lady Merry Use To Dress How Jesus Christ use to Dress ..!! So Dont Make Fun at Clothing of someone before knowing your own history
Thanks And God (ALLAH ALMIGHTY) Bless you

    1. On my blog, I make fun of those people who are fools ... regardless of their religion, so don't tell me not to make fun of your absurdities ....anyone don't like, then they don't have to read. I know more about 'my history' than you ever will my friend, and I suspect that I probably know more about yours as well .... If you had bothered to search this blog, you would have found that I mock all religion and the non religious and their absurdities equally.

The difference between Mary and Jesus and modern sensibilities on clothing is that while they may well have worn clothing similar to Muslims now:.

      (a) It was 2,000 years ago
      (b) It was the same as garb worn by nearly all the major civilisations of that time, and
      (c) It was not turned into a form of torture for women. Its easily 40c in the summer in Iraq, but the women are forced to wear black (heat absorbing) clothes over their entire bodies.... why? Well obviously to discourage women from being outside for too long.

I suspect that Sheikh Mohamed Tantawi, the now ex dean of al-Azhar university knows more about Islam than most, and if he says the Niqab is not Islamic, then that's good enough for me on that matter.

The cleric Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan said that women should cover one of their eyes because they inflamed the passions of men! No doubt he was thinking of all those 'Taliban' men who you refer to, who find a woman wearing 'Seductive clothes or the kind of clothes which show shape of your body as an excuse for the gang rape attacks that are in the news so often ....

Thanks for you comment, but remember speech is free, and comment welcomed on this thread, but apart from any bad or abusive language or illegal statements ...(or really boring in one case LOL) its not censored .... take it on the chin, argue back with polite logic or facts, but there are No 'Dont's' here.

  5. It's always breathtaking how Muslims can't take any criticism. Mr Ali butt for example ignores the fact that an Islamic 'scholar' has called for someone to be killed (again) but is upset that you laughed at the extreme dress code that only women have to wear to stop being 'justifiably' sexually assaulted if she is construed as being seductive by any animal walking on two legs.

It makes me sick, that he's actually probably a liberal in the crowd in which he hangs out.

I work with an Indian Muslim man, who is 'liberal' who has just had his 1st child (a boy like all the other Asian men on site - funny coincidence that), but he's not changed the happy, and never gets up in the night. His wife does that! Oh and she speaks no English, so apart from the phone to her family, she has no life outside of him.

He's a nice guy, but thinks nothing of treating his wife like this, even though he likes the women at work because they treat him as equal.

Sorry to go on, but we are not allowed to talk like this at work.

    1. I guess it comes with the idea of religion. Although the most prominent of examples today, during the 17th century, Christian Europe was very similar in many of its aspects. The biggest ally Islam has in the West is political correctness and the cult of multiculturalism. Thanks for the comment .
