And The Church Fate Winners Are .......

The Church Of England seems to have made its final decision as a unified communion ......

Women Anglican Bishops

..... they voted to allow women Bishops with no concessions to the traditionalists.

Therefore the die is apparently cast, the traditionalists either have to leave or shut up, essentially they have lost.

At the very least, its likely that the African churches will consider breaking away, which will possibly leave a rump in the UK and North America, who favour homosexuals and women being ordained

As to the traditionalists in these liberalised churches, well they may take the view that they keep their heads down and get their pensions, after all, when they retire there will be no 'traditionalists' left anyway, and the Church Of England will be a much more secular organisation, with the Bible open to 'new' interpretations, and which will probably be making endless 'concessions' to other more aggressive non Christian religions.

It may even be disestablished as the State Church in the future, with the next ruler considering being the "Defender of Faiths". However its all a bit meaningless, as with church attendance figures falling year on year, and with less people even identifying as Christians in the UK, the church will eventually just disappear as an institution of relevance.

We shall see how this all pans out over the next few months, or more probably years, but, now its apparently all over bar the shouting, and I may have lost a fun companion on this blog!
