Peanut Putty

Actually, despite the title for this post, you can't use peanut butter as a window putty, but you would be surprised what you can do with it, apart from just eat it of course:

Peanut Benefits
Peanut Benefits .....

  • Dogs really love it, as do horses. Something about its stickiness drives them potty, so its the perfect method to get pets who won't take their medication tablets to do so. Simply stuff the pill inside a dollop of the peanut butter and the pills are no problem.
  • Want to speed up your cutting your grass? Well simply lubricate your mower blades with peanut butter spread and the grass is toast ... or something like that.
  • Been frying fish? You a pescetarian? Frying pan and kitchen stinking of fishy aroma? Drop a dollop into the frying pan after frying the fish and that will remove that pesce smell.
  • Run out of shaving cream, got that 5 o'clock tide mark before a big date? Then plonk peanut butter all over your face, and shave away big boy! The peanut oils are perfect to allow the blades to glide over a mans skin, and leave it moisturised in their wake.
  • Finished shaving, but your leather shoes need a shine up? Well rest assured, that trusty peanut butter is the perfect leather cleaner for shoes and that spooning couch (aka the leather furniture).
  • Hear a squeaking and run out of cheese for that mouse trap? Well apart from the fact that mice don't eat cheese, its still no problem as they love peanut butter .... so bait away, and soon you will be hearing that familiar 'snap, squeak' sound as the mouse problem is solved.
  • When you’ve finished up your butter jar, take off the lid and put the jar in its side. Place it wherever you’ve noticed roaches, and other bugs. The bugs will crawl into the jar to eat the peanut butter, but their legs will stick. When it’s full, put the lid back on and throw those critters in the trash!
  • Instead of buying ant bait, make some yourself, using simple ingredients you have at home. Mix two teaspoons of peanut butter, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and a teaspoon of borax. Apply it wherever you’ve noticed ants coming in to your home. Be sure to keep your pets away from this bait, though.
  • Chewing gum stuck in your hair after that 'worlds biggest chewing gum bubble' blew up in your face (happened to me in cinema once)? No need to be an embarrassment to your kids .... simply rub a little peanut butter over the gum, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe it all away with a cloth. This works with many glues as well, as the natural oils will loosen the glue, so it washes right off. This solution works for other glue-covered surfaces as well.
  • Those pesky price stickers still stuck to that purchase from Poundland? Just smear a little peanut butter on the sticky area, and rub it off with a cloth. Viola, no need to display your cheapskate nature to anyone! Does the same for dried in insects on the car windscreen, although its best to hose this off.
  • Scratched your wooden furniture? No need to panic, simply apply some smooth peanut butter on to the scratch, and let it soak in for thirty minutes to an hour. Rub it away with a cloth and the scratch will be almost impossible to see!
  • That hip hop DVD/CD record a bouncing and a skipping? Just rub a little smooth peanut butter onto the scratch and wipe it away with a soft, dry cloth.

Oh and of course it can be the source of a run for the US presidency ..... in simpler times at least.
