I dreamt of this happening all my life!! Fantasies of Baywatch crept unbidden into my mind ...
The story happens in Stockholm's Ralambshov Park on Wednesday the 27th July 2016, where an off-duty policewoman was sunbathing with friends. A man approached them claiming to be selling publications on behalf of the homeless e.g. The Big Issue in the UK.
He then began lingering, setting some papers down over their blanket and then got up and left, collecting his papers as he did so, one of the group noticed that her phone was missing. At this point the bikini clad heroine and stickler for the law Mikaela Kellner lept into action.
As she reported it "There was no time, so I ran after him, maybe 15 metres or so, and one of my friends is also a police officer, so we got hold of him. He tried to get away so we held onto him harder."
.... The stolen phone was swiftly recovered, and the man was arrested by a police patrol.
In reality she is something of a keep fit fanatic and has more muscles than most of us ..... But she later told the press that she would have intervened "even if she were naked" and that "I've had a lot of positive comments both from friends and colleagues." .... and many others I'll bet .... sigh.
