Richard Wagner said that "the Jew" was "incapable of artistic expression", while Jeremy Corbyn said that a group of British Zionists had "no sense of English irony" despite a lifetime living in the country.
One was Hitler's favourite composer .... the other is the leader of the UK Labour Party. There is a terrible whiff of the same smell from those two comments.
No doubt Labour will paper over the cracks with a mealy mouthed acceptance of international definitions of anti-Semitism, but lets be honest after a lifetime of attacking Israel and turning a blind eye to Palestinian terrorism, Mr Corbyn is not going to really sing another tune and mean it.
Nor would I expect him to do so .... when he was just another on the loony on the left of the Labour Party, he carried on with his personal views, safe in the knowledge that no one cared. Now he's leader of the main UK opposition, and theoretically in with at least a sniff of power, he's under pressure to lie about his personal views, but rightly he is resistant to that idea. Probably because we would all know its a lie, and not gain him a single additional vote or seat at the next election .... so why bother?
If he gets into power, the country will quickly fall into economic and political chaos anyway, so what difference the fate of a few hundred thousand Jewish people leaving the country, as the immigration borders are opened full time once again by the Labour Government.

All comments are welcomed, or even just thanks if you enjoyed the post. But please make any comment relevant to the post it appears under. Off topic comments will be blocked or removed.
Moderation is on for older posts to stop spamming and comments that are off topic or inappropriate from being posted .... comments are reviewed within 48 hours. I don't block normal comments that are on topic and not inappropriate. Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
Final decision on all comments is held by the blog author and is final.
