Reasons To Be Cheerful ... Parts Two

This picture was on the BBC web site ……

Four Ladies Eating Fast ... And Living It Large.
Four Ladies Eating Fast ... And Living It Large.

It was posted in relation to the worlds fast food and dietary issues.

However it’s actually a rather a happy and cheerful scene, and I thought I would share it as a standalone image. Simply and for no other reason than because it made me smile, and I hope it does you too. It kinda reminded me of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency …. Which I never read, but heard serialised on BBC Radio Four a number of years ago.

As I listened, I always pictured a very idealised African country. Maybe Namibia or Botswana …. but definitely one of the more peaceful African nations, where women are more respected.

No excuses for this second part. This is just a really cute photo .... its from the International Animal Rescue charity in Ketapang, Indonesia. Apparently Orang-utan youngsters enjoy the ride, rather than walking.

So not a big post, but a happy post nonetheless. Reasons to be cheerful are not always easy to find in these troubled end times, so let’s end the week on one with this picture.

  1. There are many reasons to be cheerful but famously they don't sell newspapers.

The David Schwimmer lookalike beer thief story made me smile this week.

"I don't think it's been this guy's day, his week, his month or even his year," wrote Nick Croston

    1. Funny, but a petty criminal nonetheless.
