One day we may all sit back and laugh about, how a whole 12,000 year old culture nearly wiped itself off the map .....
.... How in order to meet the rules of a 'law' that never was, we had to pander to often violent and non integrating immigrant groups, who thrived due to a quasi policy, introduced by left wing liberals, and which was called 'multiculturalism'.
A concept, strange because it was never written down, it was never exactly a law, and was never voted on, and yet it influenced immigration policies for over 30 yrs or more ... even though its architects now deny it.
Essentially this non law stated that all cultures are of equal value and worth. So anyone who arrived in the UK as an immigrant, had to make no effort to assimilate with the values of a western democratic, post religious, secular state. In fact not only had they no need to learn the language, respect the culture, or obey all the laws of the cultural natives, but they could carry on with the cultural norms, laws and beliefs of the country that they had arrived from.
Under multiculturalism, a blind eye would be turned to Asian doctors performing abortions of girl children, solely to produce a boy first born for Asian families. We would take no legal action when Asian school girls 'disappeared' from our schools on 'holidays', only to turn up a couple of years later from Pakistan, 'married with children', following a 'arranged' marriage with an older man or first cousin.
We would say nothing when the immigrants brought in their 'domestic servants' from 3rd world countries, who were in fact nothing more or less than indentured slaves or second wives ... nor would we say anything when thousands of African heritage girls suffered the barbarity of 'genital mutilation' in the name of African Muslim 'culture'.
In the name of this unwritten law we would allow immigrants to shout 'racist' if anyone challenged their 'rights,' under this non law ideology (or if they didn't, some liberal lackey to the policy would do so on their behalf) ... they could groom our vulnerable young girls for sex with them and their friends, and expect just a warning about being naughty boys, but we would hand out stiff penalties and punishments if anyone even insulted one of their women for dressing like she is living in a socially backward land.
And finally in its name, we allowed them to wander the earth committing vile murder and rapine, but then return here unchallenged, because we have no laws that can be enforced to stop them, but lots of laws that allow them the human rights they deny to others overseas, and would deny to us if they ever seized power.
Yes, we will maybe laugh about this one day, but perhaps not right now ......

The rise of anti-immigration parties from both the right and left has to because politicians can't bring themselves to say enough is enough.
