Fit n Fat

Mark Wahlberg is a 47-year-old movie actor and superstar, who works very hard to keep that status at the top of Hollywood's leading men, which involves much personal denial.

Wahlberg And Brazil - Peas From Same Pod?

While, Alan Brazil, is a radio presenter in the UK, famous for liking the good things in life and not for stinting in any way on life's offerings.

Recently Mark Wahlberg revealed his training regime and his diet, to stay fit for his job ....

“I start out with oats, peanut butter and blueberries and eggs for breakfast. Then I have a protein shake, which is a Performance Inspired Nutrition vanilla latte shake, three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato. That is at about 5:30 in the morning.”

Mark Wahlberg: Works Hard To Keep Hollywood Body

“At 8:00, I have about 10 turkey meatballs. At 10:30, I have a grilled chicken salad with two hard boiled eggs with olive, avocado, cucumber, tomato, lettuce. Then at 1:00, I have a New York steak with green peppers."

"Then at 3:30, I have grilled chicken with bok choy … At about 5:30-6:00, I have a beautiful piece of halibut or a cod or a sea bass — some sort of white fish with some vegetable, maybe some sautéed spinach.”

After all that food, Wahlberg goes to bed at around 7.30pm .....

In response to this, 59 year old Alan Brazil, the radio sports presenter, who once was a sportsman, gave out his daily routine to his radio website (or perhaps it was his radio website who gave out his routine).

Physical workouts: "Zero"

Alan Brazil Shares A Similar Daily Time Frame - But Not Much Else.

Food and Hydration: "Usually 5 meals a day, and at least two bottles of wine a day, plus other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages."

After all that food and drink, Brazil goes to bed at around 7.30pm .... if he's going to work the next day, or if he hasn't got carried away with the bevy.

I think its safe to say that the differences in their lifestyles show .... however Mr Brazil would no doubt say, that he enjoys his daily regime far more than Mr Wahlberg.

Whether Mr Brazil lives for very much longer with this lifestyle is no doubt open to medical opinions, but it raises once again the old question of the shorter but happier lifestyle, versus a fitter longer life (but only achieved by denying all life's pleasures).

On that note, its down to the pub for me .....

  1. Mark Wahlberg is great in TED, and TED 2 ! and that has absolutely nothing to do with his physique.

    1. Alan Brazil thinks he's great on his radio shows ... but that has everything to do with how he has acquired his physique.
