A couple in Culver City, Los Angeles County, California confronted a naked black male intruder in their house ....
...... luckily he chose to flee through neighbouring gardens, rather than attack them, and local police immediately launched a search with both local police and sheriff’s deputies, supported with a helicopter.
The naked man tried to hide in the chimney of an empty home, in nearby Ladera Heights, however he found himself trapped, and started calling out "help me, they’re trying to kill me.” A local woman walking her dog, heard his cries and after asking where he was, was told he was stuck in the chimney above her.
He asked for water, then told the neighbours who came out to investigate, that he had been drugged by a laced drink ... adding to the very interested police and fire officers who had arrived that “I would never run around in front of everybody buck naked, I’m not crazy.”
The local fire services got him out of the chimney, and they then asked if anybody had a towel, according to a witness. Someone tossed a white towel to the roof, and rescuers wrapped the man in it ... he was taken away, and faced burglary charges. He was not named.
In fact naked burglars are not entirely uncommon ...
..... for instance a woman in Slidell, Los Angeles, who was away on a trip, came home and reviewed her security footage, after finding signs of a forced entry. Her home's alarm had been disabled. On the film she saw a naked man, who took a garden-hose shower in her driveway, knocked on her bedroom window, then broke into her home and trashed it, picking up very few items (presumably as he had no pockets).
Then, he took the time to cook a meal and a shower again, before leaving after he had stayed inside for about three hours. Keith Potter, a 50 year old local man was later arrested and charged with burglary ... he claimed he couldn't remember anything after drinking beers and taking someone else's anxiety drugs.
There are quite a few other examples out there on the news feeds ... whether there is a sexual nature to invading someone's home while naked, I wouldn't know. Perhaps there is a predatory rapist undercurrent to some of these men .... certainly there has to be something very disturbing about being burgled by a naked intruder.
