In 2009 Hjortur Smarason, bought his last McDonald's hamburger and fries, when they closed all their restaurants in Iceland.
He had heard that McDonald's never decompose and wanted to see if it was true.
So first he kept it in a plastic bag in his garage, then after a spell in a museum, and another location, he placed them in a display case (not hermetically sealed), and waited, and waited, AND well, waited.
Now in 2019 the meal is still un-decomposed, and shows no real sign of doing so ..... He now has a web cam 'live' streaming the meal, but as its not decomposing, there is little 'life' in the 'live' stream. ..... See nothing much happening for yourself on the link above.
However it did make me wonder if considering how many McDonald's half the population has eaten, if they are actually going to remain intact in their coffins when the rest of us rot away in ours?
Considering my health issues of the last few years, I think maybe my mistake was that I have never eaten a McDonald's, and that if I had, maybe I would stand a good chance of never decomposing.
