Sadly it often leads some of them into very high risk situations ....
.... and just as sadly, they don't always get out of these situations safely. Every Year the Foreign Office issues travel warnings, that are by and large unheeded (even by holiday companies, who should be more proactive on them), and very probably not even read by those most likely to benefit from them.
So its perhaps its not that strange, that even their annual publication of the outcomes of this behaviour, hardly ever hit the main news reports.

However, with the lock downs and likelihood that holidays abroad may even be banned this year, perhaps these sad little statistics will be much lower this year. So one little bit of a silver lining from the current situation.

- The worst place for sex attacks and rapes on UK citizens, is Antalya in Turkey - 15 Brits required assistance after suffering one of these rape attacks in 2018. The next two worst places were Bangkok in Thailand, and Ibiza in Spain with 14 each.
- Ibiza was also the location with the highest number of Brits accused of committing rape attacks on other British tourists, with 9 reports by local police. Whereas it was Alicante in Spain, where our drug loving animals get caught the most, with 46 arrested by Spanish police.
- Meanwhile, perhaps partially as a result of the statistics above, 179 Brits died in Bangkok Thailand last year (Cock Banging may have something to do with this, as older Brit males go mainly for the sex trade), while Malaga in Spain was the worst place for Brit suicides with 9 people choosing this location to end it all.
However, with the lock downs and likelihood that holidays abroad may even be banned this year, perhaps these sad little statistics will be much lower this year. So one little bit of a silver lining from the current situation.
