More Welsh Madness

South Wales just gives and gives to this blog .... so its South Wales Man again .....

Pauline's Perils Were Often On Rail Tracks ....
Pauline's Perils Were Often On Rail Tracks ....

.... starting with Paul Hart, a middle aged man who lived in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, and who you may consider was not a particularly clever example of the human race.

Now I know that as previous postings on this blog have shown, there is very stiff competition for title 'stupid,' in that, and indeed many other parts of the world (especially Florida), but even so, he was right up there. He got his kicks by laying between railway lines, and letting trains run over him as he laid prone beneath them filming it, and had performed the stunt on at least one previous time (as his phone videos showed).

Of course all went well .... right up until the day it didn't. He was filming the stunt on his tablet, whilst 3 times over the drink driving alcohol limit, when the seemingly inevitable happened. He died of multiple injuries, and the intelligence quotient of the human race went up a tiny bit.

However, not by that much, as Michael Bisgrove, a 54 year old from Botherton, in South Wales, proved.

Michael Bisgrove .... Laser Pen Specialist Jailed
Michael Bisgrove .... Laser Pen Specialist .... Police Helicopter Footage.

He was jailed for 32 months by a court in Newport Wales, for using a £5 laser pen (with a zoom and 5km range. WTF ... why do they need that range?), to try and blind the pilots of a passenger jet landing at Cardiff airport with 180 people on board. Proving that it really is a genetics issue .... he then tried the same trick on the police helicopter searching for him after the first incident .... not much you can say really. His defence claimed that "His actions amount to complete stupidity, rather than any intent to cause harm" .... thankfully the judge thought that as he had done it at least twice, this was one step above non-intent.

But lets not stop there ..... then there is an 18-year-old man, from Llwynhendy, Llanelli, who was arrested on the 10th April 2020, after previously being fined five times for breaches of the coronavirus lock-down restrictions. Dyfed-Powys Police said he had driven around with a "total disregard for the law and for the health and well-being" of others. Sadly they didn't print the name of this anti-social little tit in the papers.

But not to miss out on all this fun ...... Ms Leigh Jones, a Welsh beauty hair salon boss from Abertwilly, South Wales, got in to an argument in the Twisted Shamrock pub in Tenby, South Wales, with a Ms Hayley Hughes.

Ms Leigh Jones - Butter Really Would Melt In Her Mouth.
Butter Really Would Melt In Her Mouth

The argument first broke out on the pub dance floor, and Miss Jones had to be held back by two men, meanwhile Miss Hughes walked away. But Miss Jones was apparently not satisfied, and walked back over to her opponents table, and head butted her full in the face. Miss Hughes suffered a broken nose, was covered in blood, and needed an operation to repair the damage, with a second operation later required, to complete the repair.

When it came to court, the judge found her behaviour 'disgraceful', adding that "It cannot even be put down to alcohol, because you say you had had only one drink." Her defence said that Ms Jones apparently 'felt ashamed' of her behaviour. But even so, oddly he spared her jail. She was fined £1,450 (victims compensation), given a 10 month suspended sentence, and 200 hours unpaid work.

As this was South Wales, and collateral damage while going out is not entirely unknown (I once knew a South Wales girl who also headbutted in fights ... but that's another story) .... so even the judges in the courts apparently march to a different tune when it comes to fighting ..... after all its not really that unusual behaviour for South Wales.

Happily .... more South Wales madness to come in another post here real soon!!
