... its even better than a pony.
However
one has to has to plan ahead at least if you are a little girl named
Madeline and you live in Los Angeles USA. In November 2022 it was
reported that she had written to city Animal Control with the
words:
"Dear LA County, I would like your approval if I can have a unicorn in my backyard if I can find one."
They wrote back, sending Madeline a printed licence certificate, a heart shaped , rose-coloured metal tag with "Permanent Unicorn Licence" on it, and additionally a cuddly toy unicorn.

Additionally they gave advice on how to look after any unicorn she should find:
- It should be cared for as per Los Angeles County Code Tile 10
- It should be given ample access to sunlight, moonbeams and rainbows.
- It must be fed a diet of its favourite treats - watermelon- at least once a week.
- Its horn should be polished at least once a with a soft fibre cloth every month to keep it in good health.
- Any sparkles or glitter used on the unicorn must be bio-degradable to protect the unicorns health.

Finally they commended her for her "Sense of responsible pet ownership to seek permission in advance." ..... but neglected to tell her that they only live in North Wales .... apparently.
