Top Dog
A stray dog
which had been tracking some mountain climbers in Nepal, and had refused
to be shooed away by the Sherpas, ended up making it to the top of the
23,000ft mountain the Baruntse. The Sherpas thought that this was so
auspicious that one adopted the cross breed (sheep dog and mastiff), and
named her 'Baru'.

To be fair Baru had to be helped for some parts of the climb, and was strapped to climbers for those parts of the climb. She had originally latched on to climb team leader Don Wargowsky from Seattle USA. Its believed to be a record climb for a dog.
Urinary Interests
Small
dogs try to make themselves seem bigger by raising the angle of their
legs higher while cocking it to mark a wall with pee, thus marking
higher than their bodies.

Mammals generally seem to prefer to urinate on
a north south alignment to the Earth's magnetic field. There is even
apparently a 'universal law of urination' - all mammals over three
kilogrammes take about 21 seconds to empty their full bladders.

spaniel puppy named Ruby ..... just telling this, because for once, I have
used someone else's headline.
