..... because its ZOMBIES!
Yes, Scientists have taken time off from determining the exact cause of humanities imminent demise, to calculate the exact speed with which a Zombie outbreak would conquer the world, or if it could be tackled.
Apparently they have concluded that if zombies actually existed (there's some doubt?), an attack by them would lead to the collapse of civilisation, unless dealt with quickly and aggressively.
But there is supposedly a serious side to the work, because in some respects, a zombie "plague" resembles a lethal, rapidly spreading infection or pandemic. The researchers say the exercise could help scientists model the spread of unfamiliar diseases through human populations....... Yeah, yeah!
Head chopping is the recommended order of the day!
It never ceases to amaze how the simple mention of global warming in a news story sets off a tsunami of rhetoric. It generally comes from a very vocal minority that would go to its grave swearing that the sum total of climate science is a liberal plot to enrich Al Gore. Alternately, we are told the Martian ice caps are melting, proof that solar radiation and sunspot cycles — and not greenhouse gases — are the cause of planetary warmups.

ReplyDeleteon global warming, in particular I believe that its a natural event rather than a "human led" event. Rather than reiterate my arguments again, you might want to look at some of my earlier posts on the subject.
