In May 2015 a lady from Madison West Virginia USA, named as Audrey Ranch, and apparently a very tough 62 year old, had a fight with her sons American Pitbull named 'Pedro', and not a dog breed you would mess with lightly.
The fight was over some meat which apparently both her and her son wished to eat and she had told him to leave alone .....
.... it was obviously a real struggle with the powerful dog, and it was only ended when Mrs Ranch bit the dogs testicles off. Hard to imagine doing it, but in the words of a witness "She bit Pedro's acorns clean off, right there in the front yard", which is not a statement you are going to make to the press about anyone, unless its true. The witness who tried to intervene to save the dog, reported that she knocked him out "with an old tricycle.”
The tale actually then gets more bizarre, after Mrs Ranch decided that she would rather not face the police (who presumably had been called by the neighbours, as this had happened in the front of the house), so she cut off a bit of hose pipe to breath with, and had her son bury her in the back yard.
Oddly, this cunning plan failed to work. The police arrived, dug her up, and arrested her on charges of animal cruelty. Ranch later explained her actions to police: “My son ate all the meat, and I had warned him if he ate all the meat, I’d eat his dog.”
The fate of Pedro, who is now minus his acorns and presumably a calmer animal, was emergency surgery and he was expected to make a full recovery.

Amazing story only matched by the picture of the untamed animal and the dog!
ReplyDeleteVroomfondel old chap, like George Washington I cannot tell a lie. So I have to be honest, neither the dog nor woman pictured are necessarily the participants - the woman's picture might be, as it was thrown up by the story research searches I carried out. I had to then search again for a dog picture to match the same facial expression.

Why let a good story get in the way of the truth? Thanks for the clarification. Writing is an art and you're an artist, as this piece testifies.
