What classes as a sexual perversion has changed over the decades, although there are some acts that have remained consistently beyond the pale of acceptable behaviour.
Back in 1991, before the Internet killed them off, there were adult XXX cinemas, which showed cheap and usually (allegedly) soft porn movies. These were often policed (along with public toilets) by vice police, for signs of lewd behaviour and prostitution activities .....
So every now and then the local press or the Sunday newspapers, might feature a story shaming some man, whose name you would forget within minutes ... but now and then they would catch someone 'famous' .... so sticking to 1991 an undercover vice cop visited the South Trail Cinema, the only adult movie house in Sarasota County in Florida. There he observed a man exposing his penis whilst watching a movie and arrested him ....
The man turned out to be the star of TV show “Pee-wee's Playhouse,” Paul Reubens, whose alter ego was child TV character Pee-wee Herman, and he was charged with exposing himself inside the XXX adult cinema. The star pleaded guilty to one misdemeanour count, and was sentenced to community service and ordered to pay a small fine. However the real cost of this was that he was punished by the TV stations and sponsors. CBS ceased airing his show on Saturday mornings, Pee-wee Herman toys were removed from store shelves and that laid his career low.
With hindsight he wasn't helped by his supporters such as TV star Bill Cosby, who told people magazine that "Whatever he may have done, he hasn't done that to children." ..... Cosby is now in prison for drugging and raping women
Now move on thirty years, and although public male genital exposure (especially the erect type) is still an offence, as seen before, the nature of the perversions appearing before our courts have got far, far, worse.

Take Australian Daniel Raymond Webb-Jackson is a man who really loves horses ....
..... I mean he REALLY loves horses. So much so, that in July 2018 he was jailed in New South Wales, Australia for 10 months after being convicted of having sex with a horse. The 31 year old told the court that the sex was "consensual", because the filly had come up and sniffed his crotch and then "winked" at him. He was observed in the act, although the horses consensual wink wasn't.

Despite their prevalence these days, and not withstanding the story above, I can still be surprised at the sheer range of sexual perversions. Gary Smith, a 44 year old was recently jailed for 18 months on appeal, for gatecrashing a wedding being held in Peterborough Cathedral and masturbating in front of the wedding guests. He had been thrown out, but he then carried on in the car park until arrested.
As if this wasn't bizarre enough, this wasn't his first such offence, four months earlier he had performed the same sex act in front old people attending a community college course.
However, fate sometimes takes control of the these perverts.
I cite as an example the case of Egidus Schiffer aka 'The Aachen Strangler' (after he killed five girl hitchhikers - raping 3 - between 1983 and 1990), died in Bochum prison in Germany. At the age of 62 that wasn't necessarily unusual ....
.... but then I wouldn't have noted the story, if that was all there was to it.
No, it was because he accidentally killed himself on the 27th July 2018 that drew my attention. His perversions carried on well into his imprisonment. So after wrapping the electric cable from a lamp around his penis, and then on to his nipples, he then switched the lamp on, and presumably anticipated an auto-erotic thrill. Instead of that, he killed himself. He was still tied up and twitching like the wanker he was, to the currents flow, when the guards found him dead.
Now I have no idea if we are seeing a new type of pervert, or just better reporting of them. But it does seem that we have moved up to a whole new level of weirdo's walking our streets these days.
