Trevor Smith, a 48 year old from the Hall Street, St Helens area of northern England, has one or two social problems ... and one of them in particular that gets him in to trouble.
... namely he likes to perform largely solo sex acts in public, especially when drunk or drugged .... both of which states happen to him fairly frequently.
His latest episode followed an alcohol and drugs binge session, when he was found by two rail workers at Wigan North Western railway station, with his trousers and underwear down, "thrusting his hips" in to a plastic cleaning cone (some reports say a traffic cone). One worker said "I believe he was trying to have sex".
When police officers arrived, they discovered Smith, still on top of the cone with his pants still down. Only after realising that the police had arrived and were watching him, did Smith cease his actions and pull up his pants.
Mr Smith later admitted outraging public decency charges in the magistrates court, claiming it was all blacked out from his memory, but sentencing was deferred to the Crown Court (usually because a prison sentence is being recommended), in Bolton on Thursday, October the 24th (*I'll include the sentence if I find it), after his previous offences showed convictions for a couple of other public sex acts in the past, in his total of eight previous convictions going back to 1989.
The first, came in 2012, after a woman saw Smith performing a sex act, while naked "on all fours" on top of the roof of a kitchen in Bickershaw Lane, Wigan. He received a conditional discharge from magistrates for the first offence. But he was arrested again in 2015, after being found performing an indecent act (masturbating), while partially covered by a blanket, inside a car in Gordon Street, Wigan. He was handed a three-year community order, which was later revoked, meaning he was given a prison sentence, but not the whole sentence, just 3 months in prison.
The variety of ways in which men can find to gratify themselves and their sexual urges, never ceases to amaze me .... not it seems most other people.
* He was given a 26-week prison sentence suspended for two years at Bolton Crown Court. Smith must also undertake up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity, and be on curfew between the hours of 8pm and 6am for three months. Given his previous record, it seems unlikely that he will remain trouble free for two years.

What can I say. Michael Golsorkhi was seen with his pants down trying "to have sex with a pile of leaves" in the car park of a Premier Inn, opposite a beefeater restaurant. He was drunk and drugged up .... he was convicted on the 30th of October and was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted admitted outraging public decency and possessing cannabis, and he was also ordered to pay £122 in costs.
