Beer Cure and Other Shorts

  • Bad News on the Beer front: Police Constable Rebecca Stevenson crashed her car. Not newsworthy in itself, but when fellow officers arrived they found her, drunk (twice the limit), barefooted, and wearing only her nightdress. She was sacked by Lincolnshire police following an internal disciplinary hearing.

Some Societies Tolerate Police Drinking In Uniform - While Others
Some Societies Tolerate Police Drinking In Uniform - While Others Don't.

  • This is not all that unusual, for instance, three San Antonio law enforcement officers were caught drinking and driving, and taken into custody in separate incidents, and all in the same night. While a state trooper crashed his car into another on the Garden State Parkway in Wall Township, New Jersey, he was found to be over the drink driving limit.

Zombie and Alien Apocalypse

In case you weren't aware, last September we missed an alien invasion and the end of the world. Well, only if you don't live in Southern California, which apparently took the brunt of these cataclysmic events. Californians in Orange County, who were tuned into the Cox and Spectrum cable TV stations, saw this message flash across their TV screens on Thursday the 22nd of September 2017.

Disasters Alerts In Orange County .....

It was accompanied by an audio message that warned them about 'Aliens' arriving. “The space program made contact with... They are not what they claim to be. They have infiltrated a lot of, uh, a lot of aspects of military establishment, particularly Area 51. The disasters that are coming—the military—I’m sorry the government knows about them ...”

Criminal Costs

Patrick Ryan of Preston Lancashire (aka Rogue ‘n’ Nosh), is a man who has committed over 650 crimes (that he's been caught for), and just carries on committing them. He even commits crimes immediately he is released from prison. For example one was committed on his way home, after release from Barlinne Prison in Scotland, to Preston England. Apart from his normal run of the mill crimes (often fuelled by his alcoholism), which mostly consist of ordering food and drink he can't pay for in restaurants, he is also a registered sex offender.

England's Most Caught Thief ......

His criminal record is so long that it comes to over 100 printed pages, and police try to no longer print it out more than once, to save paper. He had already served more than 23 years behind bars before the age of 50, but has carried on committing offences and is now in his 60's. It is estimated that he has cost the country over £3m plus in prison costs alone. Police and court time probably pushes the figure past £4m.

The Hi(jab) and L'O(real)

The long and winding road to Politically Correct advertising is one that has undone many company's over the years, and The Face of L'Oreal campaign has also joined that list.

This after tweets posted in 2014 by Amena Khan, who was to be a model featured in a UK advertising campaign, were deemed to be anti-Israeli, or anti-Semitic.

Dystopian Future

This is a disturbing view on so many levels ......

Robot sex is almost here .....

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow And Back Again

In 1984 the sandy beach at Dooagh on Achill island off the west coast of Ireland was virtually washed away by storms and tides, seemingly never to reappear.

Achill Island 1984 to 03-2017

Tourism to the beach ended as people stopped coming.

Super Curry?

Clinical trials are about to start on a medical form of the well know food additive Turmeric. A key ingredient of most Indian curry's, and also a health herb. Recent studies by the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego have confirmed that the spice can significantly slow or reverse the advance of Alzheimers disease.

Curry's Normally Contain Turmeric

The effective component (J147) has been extracted, and may well also help in the treatment of other diseases such as Parkinsons Disease, and Strokes. No doubt J147 will cost a fortune in a prescription form .... much like paracetamol costing the NHS £3.23 per item, despite paracetamol being sold for as little as 19p for a pack of 16 in supermarkets (a scandal if you ask me, and costs us £70 million a year).

Now frankly this is not really new information, as the BBC food page link has confirmed, and I would rather have a regular curry than a pill, but there you are. There are in fact a number of Super Foods, which allegedly provide different benefits .....

Political Correctness Curse

The ability of the social media trolls to hunt down and find offence at the most innocent of things is one of the worst aspects of this PC curse ....

One Or All Of These Images Is Now Politically Incorrect

'H&M', the Swedish clothes giant, got into trouble because the little black boy modelled the sweat shirt with the words 'Coolest Monkey in the jungle'.

Boys Will Be Boys

'Willy' jokes have been around since Adam first spotted that Eve didn't have one ....

Penile Pranks ... As Old As Adam
Penile Pranks ... As Old As Adam

So the fact that highly paid air force fighter pilots indulge in them is not really much of a surprise. After all boys will be boys, and men never really grow up in this area.

Dress Code

What passes as acceptable dress for women in the UK has altered over the years, and with the influx of Islamic values into many areas, it continues to do so

As Seen On Many UK Streets ...

So face veils (which liberals still continue to insist are worn by only a few women in the UK), are now commonly seen in many, many, towns and cities, and even those without the Niqab or Burka, will wear head coverings ....

The Cusp Of Change

Apparently the late 1970's was New York’s Dark Ages, and the nadir of the era was when a blackout, caused by a lightening strike, hit New York on the 13th of July 1977 .... this was when chaos broke out on the streets.

The July 25, 1977, Cover of TIME 'Once More, With Looting'.

.... when in the words of the time 'a marauding minority of poor blacks and Hispanics went on a rampage' and 'even the looters were being mugged.' Neighbourhoods from East Harlem to Bushwick were devastated.

Racism Knows No Colour

Playing the race card is now a tactic employed far too easily by ethnic minorities arrested for a criminal or civil offence. This normally entails the arrested person:
  1. Accusing the police arresting them of racism, or
  2. Excusing their behaviour on some other, usually unnamed, person of being racist to them, which then set off their own bad behaviour, or
  3. Saying that it was a cultural issue, and basically a white problem, as they didn't cater for the 'cultural differences', which would mean that their bad behaviour was only 'criminal', in white countries.
Trevor Sinclair Accused The Police Of Racism (#1 Stock Excuse) .... But ....

Take TV and Radio football pundit Trevor Sinclair. He had been a professional footballer who had played for England, and was a regular freelance pundit on the BBC. On the 12th of November, he was arrested in Clifton Drive Blackpool, after he was involved in a collision with a woman getting out of a taxi, this after drunkenly driving his car from his home in Lytham St Annes in to Blackpool.

Death and Taxes

They say that only two things are certain: Death and Taxes - neither of which are calculable as a final reckoning so to speak ..... well up until now.

There Are No Loopholes

The statisticians at the TaxPayers Alliance have used figures gleaned from the Office for National Statistics to at least determine what your likely tax bill for a lifetime will be.

Meaty Treats

Frank Canfield of Tavares Florida went on a 5 day Crystal Meth binge with his girlfriend.

Alligators Like A Meaty Treat. No Matter Where It Comes From
Alligators Like A Meaty Treat .... No Matter Where It Comes From.

At the end of that session he ran out into his backyard and after stripping off and threatening his girlfriend.

No Platforming Here

Bruce Gilley, a political scientist at Portland State University, put up an article which appeared in September’s issue of the journal Third World Quarterly. A selected synopsis is from the foreword ....

Colonialism Has Had Too Bad A Name?

“For the last 100 years, Western colonialism has had a bad name. It is high time to question this orthodoxy. Western colonialism, was, as a general rule, both objectively beneficial and subjectively legitimate in most of the places where it was found. The countries that embraced their colonial inheritance, by and large, did better than those that spurned it. It is hard to overstate the pernicious effects of global anti-colonialism on domestic and international affairs since the end of World War II."

No Public Protection

I have been doing the occasional posts, in a series which refer to Broken Britain. These have covered a number of events , from police killers supporters, to the lack of protection for witnesses and much in-between ...

Ass Judge Presiding In Medieval Court
The Judgement Of The Law
Has Long Been Considered An Ass ....

..... but it has often involved the courts and tribunals in the UK. From judges praising the courage of burglars to the magistrate who decided that ignorance of the UK law was a valid defence for sexual assault.
