Jezzers Got To Be Joking

There are times when you have to wonder exactly what makes Labour Leader, Jeremy Corbyn tick.

RIP ~ Jeremy Corbyn
RIP ~ Jeremy Corbyn

On the face of it there is no nasty little cause that he won't back or support. For instance he left a floral tribute to a homeless man who died under Westminster Bridge in February 2018.

The tribute said 'This should never have happened'. So far, so compassionate ... however the dead man was one Marcos Amaral Gourgel, a Portuguese drug addict and convicted child sex abuser (who had assaulted a small child in the UK) .... did Corbyn spare any thought for that child or her parents?

He had been deported in 2014, but flew back into Britain without challenge, as we have no border controls (thanks to the weakness of our governments). He actually died, not because of his 'homeless state', (which is what I presume is what Mr Corbyn was bemoaning), but because he went out and ingested synthetic cannabis (spice) as a high, as this was something he couldn't do while in a hostel.

In fact, technically Mr Gourgel wasn't actually homeless, in fact he had a room at the charity Glass Door in Wandsworth, but on the night when he died, he had fallen out with two other residents, left at 02:30am, and gone back to the bridge area of London, where he had purchased the drugs, and then taken them. He was found dead less than five hours later.

Mr Corbyn might consider what sort of friends and causes he really supports, because I would hazard a guess that most Labour voters would not have thought an illegal immigrant, drug taking, paedophile and sex offender, is someone they would have much sympathy over.

  1. It sounds like Corbyn's crime here was not to have done his homework.

    1. Does he ever? He still supports the regime in Venezuela, and Hamas.... his crime is bad judgement.

Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
