Spice Zombies

In case you haven't noticed we are actually undergoing the transformation in to a Z Nation

But Real Ones On The Council Estates.

Yes, Zombies are are slowly appearing on our streets, and we don't even notice them.

A man who 'fell asleep' against a shop window in Derby, was trapped when the automatic corrugated shutters came down as the shop closed. He had to be freed when someone noticed his plight. Actually this report was from a year or so ago, before the drug SPICE had been noticed as a problem on our streets.

Spice was a formerly legal high (legal in the sense that it wasn't covered by legislation) which combines a mixture of herbs and potent chemicals. A blanket ban was imposed in May 2016 on all legal highs in Britain. This included Black Mamba which has similar side effects to Spice but despite the ban its still freely available on the streets, and cheap.

The side affects include semi-passing out whilst stood upright ..... its a serious issue that the authorities are just waking up to. With these drugs having the ‘physically addictive qualities of heroin and the psychologically addictive qualities of crack,’ they are likely to fuel a new wave of crime as the junkies try to get funds to paralyse themselves.

  1. I don't remember its effects apart from making Kyle MacLachlan's eyes shine bright blue, but Spice was the coveted commodity in Frank Herbert's Dune... having checked, spice prolonged life and enabled interstellar travel as well as allowing the mind to fold space - maybe that's what these zombies are doing in the street?
