Now most of us don't really look to the heavens all that much as we wander about the planets face ....
But perhaps we should do so more often.
It appears that for an unlucky few, what falls from the skies is nearly always deadly. Take for example the man strolling along the Via Tripoli in Turin, Italy in July 2017. Not a care in the world until he was struck on the head by a 13lb (5.9kg) cat. It had fallen from from an eighth floor balcony before breaking its fall .... sadly the cat used up all of its nine lives in the event. The man suffered serious trauma to his neck and vertebrae and is suing the cats owner for damages, and the owner has already been fined by municipal authorities for failing to control her animal. What made it all the more surreal was that in a particular stroke of bad luck for the man – it was only the third time he had ever set foot in Turin.
Unlucky you might say ..... but what about the Northern Irish teenager who was with a walking party on Slieve Bearnagh in the islands Mourne Mountains. He also had no cares in the world, before suddenly being struck by a sheep which had leapt from an adjacent crag. It took a 17 man rescue team to extricate him by stretcher down to an ambulance. He wasn't found to be too seriously injured when he arrived at hospital, and the sheep apparently left the scene without medical assistance.
Still not convinced? Well after October 2018 the kitchen staff at the 'Cook Out' fast food restaurant in Kingsport Tennessee USA will be looking skyward far more often, after the bottom half of 26 year old Harley C Morton crashed through their ceiling. A Cook Out employee called 911 when the naked bottom half of the woman dropped through the ceiling tiles.
They then saw her naked backside scrabble back in to the ceiling space and police officers found broken rails on the floor and the woman's wallet and ID on the roof .... while they were still on the roof, Ms Morton fell through the ceiling again, this time coming right through (luckily not injuring anyone except herself). Police officers apprehended her as she tried to escape into the dining area, still naked from the waist down.
Ms Morton was unable (unwilling is perhaps the better term) to explain to police and ambulance crews what she was doing in the ceiling space above the kitchens, nor why she was only partially clothed. No one else was spotted in the ceiling space ..... She is believed to be a married mother of two, and she has previously been arrested for theft. She was charged with criminal trespassing, vandalism and disorderly conduct, as well as being served an outstanding felony warrant out of Sullivan County, for 'failing to appear'.
So, perhaps we should all occasionally give a glance upwards now and then .... you never know what may be coming down towards us.

Good advice. We rarely pay attention to what is above our heads which is pretty irresponsible when you think about it.
