A stray dog which had been tracking some mountain climbers in Nepal, and had refused to be shooed away by the Sherpas, ended up making it to the top of the 23,000ft mountain the Baruntse. The Sherpas thought that this was so auspicious that one adopted the cross breed (sheep dog and mastiff), and named her 'Baru'.
