Once again famine is stalking North Korea ....

| North Korean Propaganda Shows Food Plentiful |
.... according to one of the very few escapees to the South in the last four years.
Due to the borders being closed, whereas around 1,000 refugees used to make it across the Chinese border each year, apparently only 20 in total have crossed the borders during the past four years, and just four of them have arrived in South Korea.
The secretive country has indicated a problem by asking the World Food Programme for help in March 2023 .... which considering its unwillingness to admit to any failure, suggests that things are in fact very bad (again) ... famines are not uncommon under a regime, that prefers to spend money on nuclear weapons, than feeding its people.

It was reading this latest starvation report, that caused me to realise that I have only ever seen a picture of one fat man in North Korea. I guess we know who ate all the pies ....
