Here Today, Gone Tomorrow And Back Again

In 1984 the sandy beach at Dooagh on Achill island off the west coast of Ireland was virtually washed away by storms and tides, seemingly never to reappear.

Tourism to the beach ended as people stopped coming. 

But in April 2017 following 10 days of freak tides, hundreds of thousands of tons of sand were redeposited on the rocky beach in something of a miracle ....

 .... the islanders are looking forward to a brighter future. Just proves that a lot of old adages have some element of truth and that what goes around, comes around .....😀
