Another 'Florida Man' story emerged recently ....
.... when a naked man, crashed his car into a fence before fleeing on foot with the police in hot pursuit in Seminole County, Florida in March 2019.
Residents video showed Xavier Chin sprinting through a field in a failed attempt to escape the police officers.
Chin then tried running in between homes to lose them until about a mile away from the crash site, he broke into the home of a man who was making dinner. The runaway was by this time covered in mud, sweat and blood, then darted into the man’s bedroom and jumped in his bed, apparently in the hope that the pursuing police would never find him under the householders bed sheets.
Oddly this cunning ruse didn't fool the police and a short time later deputies arrested Chin who was taken to a local emergency room, where he was treated for injuries he sustained in the crash.
Chin was charged with burglary, hit-and-run, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. He was booked at Seminole County Jail on the Monday and his bail was set at $18,000. The only casualty, apart from Mr Chin himself, was the householders bed, which had been thoroughly soiled by the dirty criminal.
