The cancel history brigade are now in full flow, and apparently the symbolic genocide of white males from history is continuing apace. 

Livingstone And Stanley Facing Cancellation

.... A statue of Sir Henry Morton Stanley, the 19th century explorer is next in line to be toppled.

His 'crimes' are supposedly his association to the Belgian Congo, via an acquaintance with King Leopold of Belgium, under whose rule, atrocities are claimed against the tribes in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The fact that Stanley was not working for the Belgian King at the time of the alleged atrocities, is entirely unimportant to those who propose his removal under the auspices of the campaigns. Some little twerp in the town of Denbigh in North Wales got the matter raised, and got 7,000 signatures on a petition to demand a local vote on the matter. Whilst a controversial figure even at the time, he also was known to actively try to stop the spread of the Arab slavers deeper into East Africa for the Zanzibar slave markets.

Talking of wokeness and the cancel culture stupidity, there have also been calls by thick as mince 'activists' to also cancel Dr David Livingstone, because they reckon he had 'links to slavery.' Of course these morons are actually too stupid to even Wiki look up the good doctors life.

As well as trying to help the African natives, he was also a famous anti-slavery campaigner, believing it an immoral practise (that's his 'link to slavery' ... trying to stop it!). He particularly campaigned against Arab slavers who operated in the parts of Africa he was in. Next these cretins will be calling for the cancellation of William Wilberforce because of his 'links to slavery.'

The cancel culture brain cells don't care about facts, they only want white culture and history cancelled. Talking of woke nations ..... Scottish teachers have been told that they have to take a "white privilege" test ..... it almost leaves you speechless, but the reasons for this are even more absurd. They have been told its so that the school; curriculum can be "decolonised" .... meaning of course that whites are to be cancelled from history, Orwell would turn in his grave. 
 
Its increasingly apparent that left wingers are now in positions of power in civil services, education departments and the media, and are determined to wipe our history clean in this and other countries, to fit their agenda. Continuing in Scotland. Stirling University has decided that its English Literature (the clue is in the name), courses are way too white for the good of its students. So to correct this racial imbalance, they have dropped all the Jane Austen books from the curriculum.

They have replaced her classic works read by many, with the writings of the far-left, black activist American, Toni Morrison. This choice was to "decolonise" the curriculum in line with the woke pandemic sweeping academia. Jane Austen has sold millions of copies of her works , over 20 million copies of 'Pride and Prejudice' alone (even I have copy!) .... and millions more of the rest of her seven completed works, over more than 200 years.

By all means remove an out of date author, but at least replace them with someone of real literary merit such as Ernest Hemingway or Dashiell Hammett, whose works have stood up through a period of time, and not just a writer whose merit appears to be based partly on the fact that Oprah Winfrey recommended her books (I'd like to bet that the boost that gave her sales was largely amongst white Democrat women with race guilt issues, but there's no way of testing that), and whose whole theme is black people struggling in a 'racist white society' and world (which made her rich of course) ... imagine reading that for the next 200 bloody years.

What the cancel culture mob forget is that at the end of the day this is our history, warts and all, and it needs to be remembered not blanked.
