.... She was told to take all metal objects (apart from solid gold objects - I've had several MRI's and you can leave only gold items on), off.
But apparently, she decided that her concealed and loaded gun, didn't count as a metal object (perhaps she believed her constitutional red-neck rights protected her) .... well inevitably the powerful magnetic forces pulled her guns trigger, and she was shot in her right buttock, needing medical treatment.She would also be liable for costs of any damage to the expensive equipment caused by the bullet (and if it hit someone else, would have faced police charges). But amazingly, this was not an isolated event ..... this happens every now and again and people have died as a result ...... but not just in the US.
In February 2023 it was reported that 40 year old Pro-Gun lawyer Leandro Mathias de Novaes took his mother for a scan at Laboratorio Cura in São Paulo, Brazil, on the 16th of January. He failed to tell hospital workers that he had a gun on him, even after being told to remove all metal objects before entering the scanning room. The inevitable happened, and the magnetic field from the MRI scanner pulled the pro-gun lawyer’s weapon from his waistband, and it went off, shooting him in the stomach. He passed away on 6 February from the wounds at the São Luiz Morumbi Hospital.
The love of some people to carry guns on their person (even in the most inappropriate places), never ceases to amaze us here at PC Towers!
On a side note: It was reported that in the USA that on the 7th of April, 2023 a woman went for a MRI scan, and despite being told to remove all metal objects, she failed to disclose that she was wearing a silicone butt plug (in the expected place) which unfortunately had a metal core. So all went well the MRI technician until was pulling the table out from the scanner. But it was then that it went ass over tit (so to speak) when the patient "started to scream. The patient stated that she felt nauseous, was in pain, and felt like she was going to pass out."

The staff called an ambulance, and the patient was transported to a nearby hospital, but it was not noted if the the patient sustained any injuries, or was seriously hurt (although the butt plug could easily have been pulled up inside her and caused damage) ..... perhaps unsurprisingly, the Food and Drug Administration’s attempts to contact the patient, in order to follow-up on her case were unsuccessful, as she refused to return or answer calls.
