A young British girl, 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling, who was found dead on a Goa beach, was likely to have been murdered as a part of a sex attack. Scarlett's body was found on the beach on 18 February, while the rest of her family was travelling in the neighbouring state of Karnataka.
Her mother (and of eight others), Ms MacKeown, and her current partner had taken five of Scarlett's eight siblings to Goa for a six-month holiday in November, and they had left the fifteen year old on her own, while they travelled.
