The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has said she plans to sue Fox News, for a broadcast that described parts of the French capital as "no-go zones" for non-Muslims ... "The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honour of Paris has been prejudiced."

The same offence indeed that Birmingham suffered by the same casual news team and channel .... only Birmingham didn't bother 'suing' .... It will of course get nowhere, but illustrates a lot of differences between Anglo-Saxon thinking and Gallic attitudes.

 

Fox News said the channel had "made some regrettable errors on air regarding the Muslim population in Europe", and apologised "to any and all who may have taken offence, including the people of France and England". Fox has also apologised for the comments by terror expert Steven Emerson, who claimed Birmingham was "totally Muslim" and ruled by Sharia law .... of course only 21% of Birmingham is Muslim. Reports of No Go Zones for non Muslims in the UK have of course been circulating for a number of years.

Still if this is how the US gets its news and views the rest of the world, it does explain a few things.

 

Update: In July 2015, the Washington Post reported that no law suit had been filed, and that attempts to get an answer from the Paris Mayors office had got no response. Apparently it was all just typical French sabre rattling.

The Lunatics Are Still In Charge

My favourite part of the Politically Correct lunatic fringe, aka The Church of England have been quiet of late, "too damn quiet Carruthers!", but just when I thought they had got a grip and were lost to me forever, they have two bursts of lunacy in a week. Bravo!!

Firstly, they have decided that membership of the perfectly legal, but far right British National Party, is now illegal for clergy and lay employees of the C of E. Oddly membership of the Communist Party was never a hindrance to being a clergyman as this communist party article suggests. The BNP as far as I know believe in a God, or at least don't not believe in a God, whereas the Communists are atheists and actively killed Christians in Russia, Poland, and Eastern Europe.

Secondly, a maverick in the Synod, is trying to make them actually admit that trying to convert non Christians such as Muslims is actually a requirement of the Christian and the C of E. This has caused paroxysms of fear, because as we all know, only Muslims are allowed to convert people in the UK, where as converts away from Christianity are given death threats (even in the UK) and have to go into hiding or be killed.

The C of E wants to befriend its new masters in the mosques, so critics of the plan say raising the issue will simply serve to damage the Church's relations with members of other religions, including Muslims.

The motion of traditionalist Mr Eddy, is intended to tackle what he sees as a liberal drift in the Church ,by challenging the synod to confirm a traditional, if sometimes uncomfortable, duty.

I watch with some glee, and much anticipation, as the C of E continues its collapse into a gay club with prayers.

Christians threatened with arrest for leafleting Muslims

A sad sign of the times in the UK ....Two Christians claim a police community support officer officer told them to stop leafleting in an area of east Birmingham where many Muslims live. They claimed he warned them to leave the area, saying: "If you come back here and get beat up, well you have been warned."

Last time I checked Muslims were free to proselytise their creed on our streets, and even preach hate from the mosques, but apparently two Christians in a Non-Muslim country are told by police officers that if they get beat up by Muslims for performing a legal activity then its their own fault.

Did I miss the moment when Sharia laws came into force in the UK, or when being a Christian was made a criminal offence?

Could someone tell me to which Mosque I should now report to pay my Jizya taxes?

It was only a month or so ago that we were told that the Bishop of Rochester's claim that there were 'Muslim No Go Areas' being set up was 'rubbish' .... well if Christians being threatened with arrest by a community police officer because they are in a Muslim area isn't a 'No Go Area' then what is?

Welcome to the reality of the New Labour Britain with its PC peace officers enforcing the Islamification of parts of the UK. If Gordon Brown wants to know why the UK is not going to vote for him, this little story gives him a few clues.
