No More Western Tourists in Islamist Egypt?

Strange that, you vote of an Islamic party, and they threaten non Muslims, both fellow citizens and foreigners (including attacks on bars and restaurants that sell alcohol), but expect the stupid Westerners to still come to the country in vast numbers and spend money. The brotherhood want no alcohol sold, no women in bikinis, or any mixed sex bathing at beaches ..... just the message Western tourists want to hear.

Muslim Brotherhood Libya - First Conference

In Libya, the Muslim Brotherhood had its first political conference ever last November. It was a strict affair, Men on the front two rows, Women at the back ...... but wait, what have we here?  

If You Hide Your Face ....

A woman can join the front two rows. But only if she's prepared to cover her whole face, wear gloves, and sit with an empty seat  between her and any man (can't be too careful of those lustful glances). To be fair, the temporary Libyan authorities have banned the formation of political parties based on religious principles, ahead of elections scheduled to take place in June ... but no one expects this to last..

African Freedom

The BBC ran an article on whether Africa (by which they presumably meant 'sub-Saharan Africa', aka 'Black Africa', as of course the 'Arab Spring' was also in Africa), needed an 'Arab Spring' .... oddly they didn't mean the whole continent coming under the thrall of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is whats happened in Arab Africa.

No they were suddenly implying that all is not perfect in sub-Saharan Africa, which must be something of a first for the BBC's usual PC reporting of this part of the world .... but my interest was taken more by the map supplied by 'Freedom House' of which parts of Africa they call as 'free'.

Africa - Free or Not Free?

 
Because strangely this map doesn't seem to equate the results of the 'Arab Spring' with 'freedom', as both Libya and Egypt for example are still marked as 'Not free' .... which kind of answers the question as to whether an 'arab spring' in sub-Saharan Africa would be any use?

Because if the 'Freedom House' organisation still classifies the results of the 'Arab Spring', as 'Not Free', then the answer to the BBC question 'Does Africa need an Arab Spring?' is obviously 'No'.
