Jack Tipper was wandering along the beach in Ilfracombe, Devon England, when he tripped over a lump of 'stuff'. Closer examination showed it to be ambergris aka 'floating gold' .... whale vomit to you and me.

This is a valuable product used in perfume making, and the bit found by Mr Tipper could fetch £200,000 ($275,440) ..... not to be sniffed at.

A Brave Effort And Other Stuff

London Road, Sleaford Lincolnshire has cycle lanes - but Sleaford doesn't apparently have the templates to create the road markings, so in July 2017 an enterprising contractor decided to draw them free hand ....

.... sadly, the contractors, Western Power Distribution said it was arranging for the sign to be repainted shortly .... personally I preferred the freestyle effort as it reminds me of a crime scene profile, and was a brave effort.
