..... They just keep a coming. Amber Chapman, a 35 year old Florida woman was arrested for stuffing a 4-year-old boy inside a laundry dryer and activating the machine. 

Mrs Chapman, was arrested on child abuse charges, after the boy told police investigators that “Miss Chapman” (reportedly his baby sitter), put him inside a machine with some towels, and that he “went around and around,” the authorities said.

The child was initially taken to an emergency room in February 2022 with bruising around his eyes, ears, shoulders and lower back, and told the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, that Chapman, of Eustis, Florida, even opened the door at one point in the spin cycle, and but then closed it again with him still inside, and the tumbling continued.

A medical report on the case stated that doctors found his injuries to be consistent with the boy’s statements. After gathering enough evidence to pursue the case, cops arrested Chapman in April 2022, and she was later released on a $15,000 bond but paid “0” dollars as she had no funds. She has applied for a court-appointed public defender. She was ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from the child involved in the case, according to the 'no-contact order'. She is also barred from communicating with the boy in any way.

If guilty the married mother of four, faces a first-degree felony charge of aggravated child abuse. Local law enforcement officials have not released a motive for the alleged abuse, nor confirmed the relationship between her and the child i.e babysitter, or if drugs were involved. However her and her husband have a 2014 conviction for fraudulently obtaining the prescription hydrocodone, and she was sentenced to 3 years probation. .... so that may tell the tale.

But of course, she wasn't the first and won't be the last to use the laundromat for some fun ... way back in May 2019 an unnamed couple placed their child in a laundromat washing machine (presumably as a joke ... the sign did say ‘Junior wash $2.95’), before the automatic lock kicked and the machine started its cycle .... fortunately the parents managed to free the child, with the help of employees ....

The child was reported as safe and well, having endured just minor injuries ... the exact location and names were withheld by the YouTube poster who put up the security CCTV footage.

.... and finally. In 209, a Russian father reported on social media site Imgur, that he had nearly had a heart attack, when saw his child's face squashed against the washing machine door with the drum spinning, but calmed down when he realised that he was actually seeing his favourite t shirt with his child's face printed on the t shirt ... but an easy mistake to make.
