Somali mosque in 'UK racist attack'

Is the link headline on the BBC web page.  So, plain enough, there has been a racist attack on a mosque.

What Does This Link Tell You About The Story?

Wrong, there hasn't been an attack on a mosque. There was no attack on a mosque, in fact the story turns out to be the burning down of an Islamic 'cultural centre' (whatever that means by the way)  - the report states that the 'centre' was not used for prayers, but as a community centre which was mainly used by children after school.

So that headline is flame fanning, and wrong, it isn't a mosque at all as the story later makes clear, but the BBC can't stop their PC nonsense, and report the story under the more inflammatory headline.

You have to ask if there is an agenda, as the main story isn't any better.

..... is the main story headline - but reading on, its a fire that's actually "an apparent hate crime attack."

So not a proven hate crime at all?

In fact the police say only that its being "is being treated as suspicious". In fact the only reason is that Chief Superintendent Adrian Usher said there was 'EDL graffiti' found on the outside of the building. A fact which may simply be coincidental to the fire - many people were offended by the Islamic reaction to the attack on the soldier and in that case a bit of graffiti is a pretty mild reaction.

The police go on to add that "the Counter Terrorism Command Unit was investigating the incident because of their expertise, rather than it being terrorism related." ... in other words its not been proved to be a terrorist attack.

But that inconvenient fact does that stop the local MP (The Conservative MP for Chipping Barnet) spouting on - nope. Driven on by her fear of a Muslim 'problem', she witters on "This kind of hate crime is absolutely despicable. This is not just an attack on the Muslim community it is an attack on all of us and our values. We are a highly diverse multi-ethnic borough with excellent community cohesion in Barnet. We should under no circumstances allow violent extremists to divide us with this kind of outrage."

This even though there is no evidence of any outrage being committed so far .... but now the BBC reporter has been unleashed, and is looking for quotes about this so far unproven 'outrage'

He or she interviews 'Abu Bakar Ali' (official status unknown), from the centre, who said: "The Somali community is in fear. We are all shocked about what has happened and we strongly condemn the attack on the centre. As you can see, the situation is a very serious one indeed. We are appalled and deeply saddened by the horrific and foolish act against a peaceful community. While no-one was thankfully physically hurt in the attack, the effects of this crime will be felt very deeply."

No mention of the decapitated soldier any more ... suddenly Muslims are the 'victims' so now we get the full PC nonsense about Muslims being under attack ... Zakariya Mohamed, 22, whose only qualification for a quote is that he has been attending the centre for 13 years, said: "I'm heartbroken. I can only speak for myself but I feel this is an act of terrorism. The dictionary defines a terrorist as anybody that causes terror or intimidation with a racial agenda. I think our community will recover though. We don't want to seem like we are defeated. I dream of being able to rebuild the centre even bigger and stronger."

Laughable - the main instigators of world terrorism are quoting a dictionary to the rest of us, but skewed to "a terrorist as anybody that causes terror or intimidation with a racial agenda." .... not a religious one or political one, just "with a racial agenda." ..

OK, so what does the Oxford dictionaries define it as:

[mass noun]: the unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims:

The free dictionary says that two other definitions are:

Collins:

1. (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) systematic use of violence and intimidation to achieve some goal.
2. the act of terrorizing.
3. the state of being terrorized.

Kearney:

1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear so produced.
3. government or resistance to government by means of terror.

Nothing much about "with a racial agenda" ....

Anyway, what else does this exemplar of 'new' BBC reporting state?

And finally, it wouldn't be a BBC Muslim stony without one of the unelected 'Muslim groups' having a quote .... this time its the The Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) - an oxymoron if ever there was one - said that Muslims were now living in fear of a "wave of attacks". Massoud Shadjareh, chair of IHRC, said:

"Muslims feel scared right now and it is completely understandable. Muslims have been physically attacked, mosques burnt down, cemeteries vandalised and social media is full of anti-Muslim hatred and violent threats towards Muslims. More needs to be done to protect the Muslim community."

This 'factual' statement is not backed up by any corroboration - what mosques? what cemeteries ? - which social media? in other words this is just propaganda disguised as comment.

In other words, the whole story has been whipped up by the BBC and media, there is little if any evidence to back it up so far, and the report is littered in unsubstantiated content, which is unchallenged, and in fact is little more than propaganda justification for Muslim attitudes and  serves only to inflame the story and current febrile atmosphere.

This ladies and gentlemen is what now passes for a news story at the BBC.

The Most Popular Boys Name In The UK Is ..........

2010 was the year that the boys name 'Mohammed, Muhammed or other of the 12 different spellings of the name' was reported as the most popular in the UK in 2009 (the last full year the office of national statistics reported on) ......

Anthony O'Brien

Anthony O'Brien is a 69 yr old RAF veteran who lives in Manchester .......... he was attacked by what the police described as "Asian or mixed race" teenagers, for this description read "Pakistani descent", simply for wearing a poppy and a RAF blazer.

"They were shouting, 'Fucking shoot all you bastards and blow your soldiers up. Death to all soldiers.' I was scared. I was wearing my RAF blazer and poppy - I wear it regularly because it's smart and I'm proud of it. I thought they were drunk or something. I told them to leave me alone but the little fella hit me on the side of my head. Then the other fella head-butted me. Then they ran away."

I put the two stories together because, whilst you and I probably can see a connection, our politicians apparently can't ...... the BBC can't bring themselves to report this story on their web sites, and don't discuss the nationality of the attackers on the local radio reports of the crime.

PC crap drives the left's agenda, and the BBC thinks its the natural champion of this credo.

Something Rotten In The State Of Scotland?

There are a number blogs circulating, which if true are very disturbing, alleging that there is an official cover up of a paedophile ring that operated in Aberdeen, and whose principle victim was Hollie Greig, a down syndrome child.

The Press and Journal story, states that in 2009 Grampian Police re-interviewed a disabled woman who claims she was abused as a child by an Aberdeen paedophile ring which included a senior police officer and a leading Scottish sheriff.

The Palestine Telegraph has a very full account of the alleged events, and names people alleged to have participated in the abuse/ cover up who I suspect would react badly if they were named in the UK. They have also followed up on the story with another article.

Apparently, officially the complaint of abuse has been investigated and closed for lack of credible witnesses, but oddly Miss Grieg is said to have received £13,500 compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority in April last year, which is very strange when no arrests, or criminal proceedings took place.

There are a large number of other blogs, who are also making allegations of an official, establishment, cover up in Scotland, and stating that the media (including the BBC) are colluding with the cover up .... There is also a facebook campaign.

I have no idea on the truth of all these allegations and accusations .....

A girl with down syndrome and a mother who has apparently been in mental care, may be deluding themselves, and simply naming well known people and their association with the David Icke website appears to weaken their story (...... after all he promotes the theory that a secret group of reptilian humanoids called the Babylonian Brotherhood created and controls humanity, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including Queen Elizabeth II, and Boxcar Willie), or there could be truth in the abuse claims, I simply don't know.

However, the fact that such a campaign is being waged should be newsworthy in itself, and it's at that level that I post the story.

The Truth Is Plain For All To See

Why doe the BBC insist on describing these Muslim attacks on Christians in Nigeria as 'inter communal violence' ... when virtually all the attacks this year have been by Muslims on Christians.

When Christians eventually band together in defence, that doesn't alter the fact that the violence is being instigated by Muslims (as ethnic cleansing for economic and religious reasons)..... wake up BBC, you can't categorise people defending themselves in the same bracket as the attackers, and then blame everyone equally.

Politically correct reporting destroys your credibility in parts of the world that used to rely on your reporting the facts.

When the BBC substitutes or hides the truth in a story just because that truth contains inconvenient facts that conflict with the BBC world view then the BBC is no longer a news reporter and becomes a propaganda unit for left wing PC politics.

This story on the BBC Website, about 'youths' having rioted in the southern Swedish city of Malmo, at first glance looks perfectly normal ....

..... and the headline and text hint that the "riots" are in some way similar in nature to the recent events in Greece.

If you read this story on the BBC UK terror tactics 'create unease' you might be forgiven for believing that Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari was being entirely reasonable in his opinions, indeed mild might be the term used when he claimed that

“Every society has to be really careful so that situation does not lead us to a time when people's minds can be poisoned as they were in the 1930s. If your community is perceived in a very negative manner, and poll after poll says that we are alienated, then Muslims begin to feel very vulnerable. We are seen as creating problems, not as bringing anything, and that is not good for society."

He was responding to comments by the head of MI5, that there were 2,000 people living in Britain who pose a terrorism-related danger, and that youngster’s aged 15 were being groomed to be suicide bombers.

Unfortunately I happened to look up and read the full story on the Daily Telegraph only to find that the most prominent part of the interview wasn’t the part we could all agree had some truth (no one likes being vilified in the press), but this veiled threat

“But some police officers and sections of the media are demonising Muslims, treating them as if they're all terrorists — and that encourages other people to do the same. If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists — 700,000 of them in London," he said. "If you attack a whole community, it becomes despondent and aggressive."

In other words “If you don’t treat us as with the respect that we want", then you can expect to be attacked “with two million Muslim terrorists” this wasn’t worthy of report by the BBC. Read the two stories and make up your own minds.

If you agree with me and think that the BBC have deliberately misled people over the content and thrust of Dr Badri's comments then I suggest that you complain to the BBC.

If the BBC realise that they must not apply different reporting standards to certain groups (presumably because their 'ethnic' and its 'cultural'), then maybe they will not risk becoming just another biased news group with a PC 'multicultural' agenda.

My Complaint to the BBC On both Radio 4 and the subsequent hourly news headlines on Radio 5, they both discussed the interview given by Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari with the Daily Telegraph, in which they reported that he had said that the way Britain had responded to the terror threat would "create unease" in the Muslim Community. In fact the word "Unease" didn't feature on the Daily Telegraph article on the web. What Dr Bari did say was "If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists — 700,000 of them in London". This statement, or threat, was not mentioned once in the BBC reporting, nor in any interview, despite the fact that it featured at the top of the reported newspaper interview. In fact the article also attributed Dr Bari with the opinion that "continued negative attitudes towards people of his faith could provoke a vast and angry backlash" but the words 'vast and angry' appear to have bypassed the BBC. He also was quoted as saying that he picked up a mood of "anxiety, frustration and, especially among young people, anger" but not the word ‘unease’. The BBC on both the Radio and on the web chose the word 'Unease' in quotes to characterise the tone of the interview (as reported on the web), when it wasn't apparently used. The fact that he predicts 700,000 terrorists in London alone, was never mentioned once, despite the both apocalyptic tone of these predictions, and the implied threat to the media to change or else. Either the guy is a self appointed delusionist who thinks that "700,000" Mujaheddin will rise up in the streets of London if the media carries on reporting Islam and Muslims negatively, or he a credible voice and deserves to be quoted properly when he makes these predictions. The BBC can't just make up a moderate quote, that didn't actually exist, and attribute it to an interview that was neither moderate (with its threats of 2 million Muslim terrorists rising up), nor very considered, and expect this to be the basis of further discussion just because the subject is a Muslim. I put it to you that if the BBC had ignored the phrase “the River Tiber foaming with much blood” from the Enoch Powell speech in 1968, that would have been considered bad reporting. So why 40 yrs later is the BBC now apparently willing to ignore provocative sections of a speech on a similar subject to make its author appear moderate? Is it because there are now separate reporting standards applied to Muslims, and the non Muslim populations? If so, then surely this a charter matter and we deserve to know what these new standards are?

Note: I will report back and publish the BBC dismissal of this complaint.... it won't go farther because its not an opinion that the BBC hierarchy wishes to encourage.

The Muslim Council of Britain is an umbrella group representing over 500 Muslim groups in the UK. Dr Bari, the chair of the East London mosque, succeeded Sir Iqbal Sacranie as leader of the organisation last year.

The BBC has replied and obviously I was wrong (it appears that there were two versions of the story on the web) ..... LOL, but I publish the replies anyway.

PC Spinning of news by the BBC

First the good news, ‘Few Muslims 'back suicide bombs', cries the BBC web page headline somewhat disingenuously. This is based upon the views from a poll by the Pew Global group in the Muslim world, which actually shows that “Fewer” (not “few”) Muslims support blowing themselves up in order to kill us and go to paradise.

PC Brigade: “Well that’s good news then!”

General Public: “Err, but the poll shows that on average there are still one in three Muslims world wide who think killing me is OK!”

PC Brigade: “Ah, but that’s down from two in three …. Mecca wasn’t built in a day you know, Hearts and Minds, Hearts and Minds!”

General Public: “But surely all right minded peoples of any religion would think Murder was wrong?”

PC Brigade: “Well yes, but these aren’t right minded folk; this is a religion that says that murder in the name of god is a short cut to paradise. Of course all cultures are of equal value in our Multicultural paradise, and therefore this is a valid school of thought.”

General Public: “You mean killing me or anyone, like the worshippers of Kali did, you know, whassinames, ‘Thuggee’s’ is OK?”

PC Brigade: “Yes that’s the general idea; you kill people while crying 'god is great' (Alla ha Akbar), and straight to heaven you go for doing gods work.”

General Public: “But what about the victims?”

PC Brigade: “Well some, the Muslims for example, will go to paradise if they are the ‘right sort’, and the rest, the ’non right’ sorts of Muslims and non believers, go to hell.”

General Public: “What’s on Earth is the wrong sort of Muslim?”

PC Brigade: “Ah well that’s where we have a slight problem, from our Multicultural point of view, none are, because it’s a 'glorious religion that all the rest of humanity should show great deference to', but, some of our Muslim brothers seem to think that any Muslim who doesn’t follow their way to Allah, are the “wrong sort of Muslim”. E.g. Sunni’s hate Shia’s and they both hate all other islamic sects.”

General Public: “So the BBC headline should be that ‘At least one in three Muslims supports suicide bombings’?“

PC Brigade: “Well that’s one way of looking at it, if you want to be negative.”

Of course you would never see that sort of headline because we have reached the stage where we have to spin everything involving Islam so that we don’t offend them. Odd really because guess what the headline would have been if over a third of non Muslims said it was OK to bomb Muslims? I guarantee that it would have not been ‘Few non Muslims back bombing Muslims’.

No one ever asks publicly, what sort of religion condones murder as a way of entering paradise? If it wasn't Islam, and therefore 'an untouchable, sacred cow' (to borrow from Hindu's) in the West, but was the worship of Kali by murder, we would have no problem in calling it as it really was.

But instead, we portray the fact that over 30% on average of Muslims condone and support suicide bombings, as somehow a positive thing. Lord Reith will be turning in his grave, as he sees how the BBC, in the name of 'impartiality' is now no longer able to even take a moral stance on what is wrong, or even report facts in a straightforward manner.
