Cannibal Run

When I was a kid, tales of cannibalism seemed like the exotic stuff of King and Empire, with explorers in darkest Africa, or Borneo, or Papua New Guinea .... before these lands were incorporated into the enlightenment of the empire.

However of late, cannibalism has made something of a comeback .... firstly in places like the post colonial African states where self styled emperors such as Emperor Bokassa I of Central Africa  aka President Jean Bedel Bokassa of the Central African Republic, who was alleged to indulge in cannibalism (although 'cleared' in a later trial). Bokassa's former cook, claimed to have been ordered to prepare a human corpse stuffed with rice and flambĂ©ed in gins for his master (and presumably unsuspecting guests).

Dhimmitude For Christians In Syria

Here we go ... coming soon to a country or neighbourhood near you real soon ... 'Dhimmitude for Christians', paid for and backed by the UK government, who 'support' the “Syrian rebels”. The terrorist group known as the 'Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant' (ISIS), who captured the regional capital of Rabba in Syria, have now issued a proclamation demanding that the Christians of that area pay a ‘Dhimmi levy' in gold, and accept severe curbs on the practise of their faith, or face death by the ISIS butchers.

After the cannibalism of some of the rebel savages, this latest outrage has just been coming, it was just a matter of time … the payment of the tax, is by the submission of around half an ounce (14g) of pure gold, in exchange for their *'safety'

The answer seems to lie in who is relating the story. History is always written by the victors so they say, and that seems to have greatly influenced what we consider human sacrifice or not.
