..... and was a co-founder of the rock group Cream.
However he was also well known for his hell-raiser and 'Rock'n'Roll lifestyle'. Meaning that he was often drunk, acted badly, and took a lot of drugs. He was said to only have one demand while one tour, which was for "two prostitutes and a limo" .... He died aged 80 in 2019.
But his estate was in probate. Possibly because he may have left no clear will. However he didn't die poor (although he had apparently long since spent his supposed millions, if he ever had all of them), as he left just £92,000 after taxes and debts.

In his auto-biography "Hellraiser" he apparently details his addiction to heroin and booze, the admittance that he gave his 15 year old son a line of cocaine, and that he had sex with many of one (or both?) of his daughters friends.
However what brought his demise to my attention was that his first wife, is reported as saying
on being told of his death "The devil takes care of his own." ....
