Berlin museums and galleries house and protects many great works from
antiquity and the past ....
Reconstruction Of The Ishtar Gate of the ancient city of Babylon |
.... but it struggles with protecting them from the new cultural barbarians who live inside its borders.
On the 3rd of October 2020 over
70 items were vandalised in what was described as an attack on "global Satanism"
across the Pergamon Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, and the Neues
Museum. The damage was to priceless Egyptian Sarcophagi, stone
sculptures, and 19th century paintings.
Pergamon Altar (180–160 BC) |
So shocked were the authorities that news of the attacks was suppressed for over two weeks. The attackers had sprayed an "oily substance" (possibly oil and myrrh),
on the artefacts ... which objects were attacked, and why is not
clearly known, although some nutters believe that the Pergamon Museum is
the world's centre of Satanism, because it holds the reconstruction of
the Pergamon Altar.
Market Gate of Miletus |
In 2018, two Bulgarian women carried out a similar attack with oil and myrrh in the National History Museum in Athens ... they used this combination "because the Holy Scriptures say it is miraculous."
My Name Is 'Atilla' |
The German attacks have been linked to conspiracy theories being disseminated by prominent coronavirus deniers. One of these, the very aptly named Atilla Hildmann (a former celebrity vegan chef), is Germany's leading cheerleader for the QAnon ideas, and on his Telegram channel (its encrypted and can only be read by subscribers), reportedly suggesting that "Angela Merkel had been using the Pergamon Altar for Human Sacrifices." He added "Fact! It is the throne of Baal (Satan)."
What hope have we of our civilisation surviving with these people flourishing in every sphere of our culture ....

Moderation is on for older posts to stop spamming and comments that are off topic or inappropriate from being posted .... comments are reviewed within 48 hours. I don't block normal comments that are on topic and not inappropriate. Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
