Florida Woman ... Again

A Slim Shadae ....

.... this is of course is the collective name for the natives of the state.

They are a wild breed .... a bit like the natives of South Wales are in the UK. So you'll not be surprised that I always have a weather eye open for more odd tales from this hardy band .... they never disappoint.

Shadae Miranda and her partner were sharing a room at a Travel Inn motel in Fort Pierce Florida in April 2020, but he had to go to hospital for an unspecified reason ... on his arriving “home from the hospital” on a Saturday afternoon he got into a verbal argument with Ms Miranda. The reason for this argument have been redacted by the police from the arrest documentation (which is unusual, especially in Florida), but whatever the cause of the argument, it soon escalated and Ms Miranda had started using her fists to attack her partner, so he claimed that he sought to de-escalate, the situation by gathering some of his belongings and stepping outside the room, where he ended up sitting in a lawn chair.  

After a few moment Ms Miranda followed him out and allegedly struck him in the head with a “15.6 ounce metal can of Spaghettio’s that was in a plastic bag.” ... the police were called by the hotel staff and the officers “observed a large laceration on the top of his head consistent with being struck with the can.”

During police questioning, Ms Miranda claimed that her partner had struck her on the arm and that she had been defending herself, but the police deputy reported “no signs of injuries, cuts, or bruises consistent with her side of the story.” .... Ms Miranda was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, a felony, for “striking the victim on the head with the can of Spaghettio’s.” Ms Miranda was released on a bail bond from the St. Lucie County jail later on the Sunday evening.

Strangely she made the news again in August /September 2020 when she was reported as a missing person to the police in Port St. Lucie Florida  ..... thankfully she was later found safe and sound .... no further details are available on this second incident.

Ms Fields, Tasered For Using A Deadly Weapon

Now I could stop there, but as it happens another Florida girl also had an unusual brush with the law ..... in January 2017 she was arrested after she pelted a police officer  with a “wet” used tampon, which the police classified a “deadly weapon.” Tecora Fields, had been involved in a drunken brawl with another woman in St. Petersburg Florida when the police arrived .... as police officer Andre Sousa investigated the fight, Fields told the officer to “suck her pussy,” adding that, “I’ll hit you with my tampon you bitch!” The tampon she stated, was destined for the patrolman’s mouth.

After making those threats, Ms Fields “was then seen with both her hands in her genital area, with her pants open.” She was then observed “throwing a wet white paper object” at Officer Sousa with the used tampon striking the officer's left shoulder. Ms Fields then sought to flee into a nearby house, but she was “apprehended following a successful taser deployment.” ... nicely put hahaha!

Ms Fields was taken to a police station where she was charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, which is a felony offence “by use of a deadly weapon, to-wit: a used tampon.” She was released from custody earlier the next day after posting a $5,000 bail bond. Her rap sheet includes a number of prior arrests for disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication .....

Florida is a State that just seems to drive its citizens to the oddest behaviour ....
