.... indeed they are often totally disregarded, or treated as just some sort of cultural part of Muslim identity and of no real import.
Chants of "Death to America" etc are commonly seen emanating from the street mobs emerging from mosques, but are only occasionally shown on our TV's. But when they are shown, they are often accompanied by some justifications, that the mob are just righteously angered, by some imagined insult to Islam performed by the West. e.g Cartoons of their prophet, or the killing of some Jihadist terrorist leader in a desert somewhere.

In fact so organised is the hatred, that in Iran one company in Khomeini City annually makes 1.5 million square feet of flags, many of them US, British and Israeli flags, just to be burnt by a state organised 'righteously angered' mob.

Even so, its perhaps a surprise when our media also disregard even the most direct of threats, issued against the US Presidents life by the leader of another country. In this instance, the office of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei via his official website on the 12th of January, 2022, which hosted an animated video depicting the assassination of former US President Donald Trump entitled "Revenge is Inevitable".

The video depicts Iranian operatives taking their revenge against the "murderers, and those who ordered the martyrdom" of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force commander "Qasem Soleimani" on January the 3rd, 2020.

Now imagine if US President Joe Biden hosted a video depicting the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei .... the Iranians would scream bloody murder, mobs would burn US flags and effigies of Biden. Thousands would declare that they would lay down their lives as martyrs to save Khamenei's life ..... and Western media would headline the fact that Shia Muslims were 'righteously angered' by US actions.

But the threat to assassinate the ex-president of the USA by the de-facto head of state of a militarily aggressive Middle Eastern state, is almost totally ignored by the politicians and media of the West ...
