Escape attempts from prison can take quite daring methods ....
Canadian Prison Escape |
....but the success rates can vary.
Jose Luis Callisaya Diaz, also known as “El Araña (The Spider),” .... was a wannabe escapee. Convicted of murder, he was or rather still is serving a fifteen year sentence in the badly named Chonchocoro maximum security prison in Bolivia, but didn't want to be there anymore ... well who would?
So coming up with a 'cunning plan', on February the 4th 2023, he made his bid for freedom. He wrapped himself in a sheepskin coat he disguised himself as a sheep. He then crawled through the grassland surrounding the prison in the hope that prison security would be fooled by his being on all fours.
Sheepish Escape Plan |
His aim was to reach the outer security wall and break out under the cover of rain and bad weather conditions. Unfortunately he hadn't left the traditional papier-mache false head in his bed, so the guards noticed his absence and alerted, quickly spotted him crawling through the grass.>
He was recaptured and the authorities have ordered legal and disciplinary actions against the prisoner.
..... well, 10 points for thinking outside the box, but Nul Points for planning and execution.

Moderation is on for older posts to stop spamming and comments that are off topic or inappropriate from being posted .... comments are reviewed within 48 hours. I don't block normal comments that are on topic and not inappropriate. Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
