Dirty toilets and habits surrounding them are a common enough subject of occasional discussion ...

| Bad Boy - Zoom Call From Toilet |
... so why not here as well.
Half of those aged 18 to 24 in the UK, do not wash their hands after going to the toilet, but 81 per cent of those aged over 55 do .... according to a poll ... so never eat nuts from a bowl at a party or bar in the UK where people under 30 are!!The mobile phone was meant to free us from being chained to the home phone or telephone boxes. But now three quarters of young people are apparently in fear that they are now addicted to their smart phones. On average they spend more than19 hours a week staring at their phones ..... even while on the toilet (urgh!!), where nearly eight in ten 18 to 24 year olds admit that they continue to browse their phones .... so don't borrow a teenagers phone either!!
Almost half admitted that they were more likely to have sent an email or text from the bathroom than actually have cleaned it in the preceding week. The phone 'addicted' claim that work pressures and the availability of social media are the cause of their excessive phone usage ..... and presumably the continued usage in toilets.
The arrival of Zoom to hold meetings, only encouraged the usage of phones in toilets .... but what is it with politicians in particular, Zoom, and toilet activities? Not one, but two Liberal Canadian MP's in the past few years, have been caught in an embarrassing situation on a Zoom call.
Canadian Liberal MP Shafqat Alim, who served the district north-west of Toronto was caught using a toilet cubicle to dial in to a debate from. Conservative House leader John Brassard said that "The member of Parliament was literally using the wash-room while participating in a sitting of the House of Commons, the cathedral of Canadian democracy."
Mr Ali called into Parliament (but not from the toilet) to apologise for the "lapse in judgement", adding that "I take this matter extremely seriously, and I promise never to repeat this error again."
Another, Liberal MP, Will Amos apologised after urinating during virtual video parliamentary proceedings. Only a month earlier, he had appeared naked on a video call with colleagues while changing after a run. He did not seek re-election.
Meanwhile, South of two borders, down Mexico way, there was yet another Zoom disaster by a politician, for whom the technology had proved to be simply too much to cope with .... "YOUR ON CAMERA IDIOTS". This time it was one Federico Doering (aged 50) in Mexico.
He was caught on camera sitting on his toilet while having a dump. Forgetting himself he was seen fumbling for toilet paper, then lifting his arse and wiping it .... The National Action Party MP was still on camera while in a meeting with six other MPs. He has refused to give any comments about what had happened and didn't resign.

Vexatious comments that may cause upset to other commentators, or that are attempting to espouse a particular wider political view, are reviewed before acceptance. But a certain amount of debate around a post topic is accepted, as long as it remains generally on topic and is not an attempt to become sounding board for some other cause.
