With a British Prime Minister once again under pressure ...

| Prime Minister Starmer: Epstein Collateral Damage |
.... over an Ex-Ambassador to the USA's contacts with Epstein, and the handling of his appointment to that role, it's ironic that the Epstein scandal continues to damage so many in the UK.
The majority of those damaged in the UK (apart from the ex-prince Andrew) had any participation in, or prior knowledge (apart from ex-ambassador Mandelson, after Epstein's sex trafficking conviction), of his dark activities, but so far, one line of the Royal family has effectively been removed (Andrew and his Ex-wife Sarah Ferguson who, like Mandelson, kept in contact with Epstein after his first conviction), Mandelson a high profile Ambassador to the US sacked, a very senior civil servant in the Foreign Office now sacked (for apparently overruling Mandelson's security clearance failure, and not informing anyone, including PM Starmer), and a UK Prime Minister under political pressure again.
All of them, apart from the ex-prince Andrew are collateral damage of the Epstein scandal in one form or another. Meanwhile in the USA where Epstein primarily operated, hundreds of men had contact with him in business, politics or socially, and yet so far no one really important seems to have been sacked or lost office. In fact, again its third party collateral damage only:
- Brad Karp: Resigned as chairman of the prominent law firm Paul Weiss.
- Larry Summers: The former Harvard president and U.S. Treasury Secretary stepped down from positions at Harvard University.
- Kathryn Ruemmler: The top lawyer at Goldman Sachs and former White House Counsel announced her resignation.
- Alexander Acosta: Resigned as U.S. Labour Secretary in 2019 following criticism of his handling of the 2008 Epstein non-prosecution deal.
- Joi Ito: Resigned as director of the MIT Media Lab in 2019 after revelations of receiving investments from Epstein.
- Peter Attia: Lost positions as a science officer for a protein bar manufacturer, advisor for a sleep tech company, and contributor to CBS News.
- David A. Ross: Left his position at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
- Les Wexner: Stepped down as CEO of L Brands (Victoria's Secret parent company) in 2020 after investigations into his close ties with Epstein.
As you can see, mostly lawyers and a minor U.S. Labour Secretary, and none directly for participation in, or even knowledge of, Epstein's extra-curricular activities, just for association with Epstein or his conviction in other capacities. All in all, its a little bit more than ironic that no US politicians have been damaged, and yet it beggars belief that no one other than a British now ex-royal prince, participated in, or knew of, what was going on.
It seems as though the political buck stops a long way from the top, in President Trumps America.
