What passes as acceptable dress for women in the UK has altered over the years, and with the influx of Islamic values into many areas, it continues to do so

So face veils (which liberals still continue to insist are worn by only a few women in the UK), are now commonly seen in many, many, towns and cities, and even those without the Niqab or Burka, will wear head coverings ....

A Voice In The Wilderness

Once again the world is dripping with the blood of innocent men, women and children as Islam’s ‘holy warrior martyrs’ either blow themselves up in to the arms of 60 virgins, (by killing and maiming hundreds of Christians), or launching a machine gun and grenade attack on hundreds of unarmed shoppers in a Kenyan shopping mall. All grist to the bloody mill, as the religion of peace (or submission as it is actually translated from the Arabic), once again illustrates why its reviled as 'bloody and backward' across much of the globe.

Of course, instead of tackling this backwardness head-on in the West, our politicians largely say nothing, and instead try to pander to the Islamists that they have let through the Gates of Vienna and into Europe, by suggesting that the Niqab and full Burka are welcome additions to our culture. In fact with just a modicum more of compromise on our part (by altering our views to accommodate Muslim women’s cultural view), we can allow face coverings in courts, jails, and public jobs such as hospitals, social workers, and in fact any customer facing role you care to mention.

Obviously the wearers of these extreme outfits (and make no mistake, this is not considered to be a religious requirement in the major Islamic schools - Sheikh Mohamed Tantawi, the then dean of al-Azhar university in Egypt, called full-face veiling ‘a custom that has nothing to do with the Islamic faith’ ....… and I think he knows a bit more about Islam, than some covered up immigrant girl from North Africa or Pakistan), will in general only have to make the sacrifice of removing the face coverings in the most extreme of cases …. For the rest of the time, no matter how offended many non Muslims feel about seeing this dress code in our streets, or how distasteful we find the practise of hiding ones face in general, we have to say nothing.

British Culture - Now And ?????

Our cultural values are once again ignored, to pander instead to this one group of religious extremists from a culture very different to our own.

Rather oddly Christians, and in fact any Non Muslims can be discriminated against, or even prosecuted for discriminating against Muslims (recent cases include the wearing of a cross being offensive to Muslims), whereas a Muslim ‘free’ school, paid for by the state, can discriminate against non Muslim women by forcing the women teachers to cover their heads … not take non-Halal food into the school, and not being allowed to wear jewellery. They are apparently even making girls sit at the back of the class – as boys are superior – and all in the centre of England (Derby to be precise).

As usual, this is not commented upon by the political parties who run the nation …. ‘too sensitive’, might get a Muslim mob issuing threats, and anyway the ‘English’ are too tolerant to complain themselves, so we can ignore the issue and the threat it implies to our culture. seems to be the thinking.

We really are sleepwalking to the chopping block, and with our eyes fully wide open.

Burqa's Row Rages Across Europe (apart from Britain).

Across Europe the argument about whether wearing full face coverings is 'exploitation', 'anti- western','exclusive' or 'tolerant' etc etc .....

The New Face Of 'British' Womanhood?

..... the prevalent feeling appears to be that Muslim women wearing the Burqa are doing so for purely cultural reasons and not under any religious requirements. 

Cross-Eyed Lovers

Do you remember that lunatic cleric Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan who said that women should cover one of their eyes because they inflamed the passions of men i.e. perverts like him and others of his ilk who need locking up?

It gave us a new meaning to the term 'give us a wink'

Well he has a soul mate now, in the form of an Arab country's ambassador to Dubai (who sadly hasn't been named) who found out that a face veil can hide an awful lot of sins. According to the story going around he has been granted a divorce when he was found to have been conned into marrying a very ugly woman by being shown a picture of her sister.

He of course had never seen her face in reality because he could be killed for doing that that ..... apparently after the marriage he pulled up her veil to kiss her for the first time only to discover that she was both cross-eyed and had facial hair.

Now I can understand not noticing that she had facial hair, but how could you miss that she was cross-eyed? Unless of course she was wearing a one eyed Niqab with just the straight eye looking out ........ errm.

A court has annulled the marriage contract, but rejected a $130,000 (£83,000) compensation claim for the gifts he had bought her as wedding gifts ..... the price of stupidity.

Saudi Critic Only Loses Job (Not Head)

Finally, from Egypt's neighbours, the ever reliable Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, comes this story about another 'senior cleric' (told you, every cleric the BBC mentions is 'respected', or 'leading' or, well anything but mundane, junior or stupid), Shaikh Saad al-Shethry, who has been sacked from Saudi Arabia's most senior council of religious scholars, or ulema by King Abdullah.

He was dismissed, seemingly for stating that the mixing of sexes in any university was evil and a great sin, and in particular it must be stopped at the new King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

He also demanded the curriculum should be vetted by Islamic scholars to prevent teaching of "alien ideologies" (well that's torn it then, no science teaching!). Oddly, he didn't actually call for the teachers or students to face the 'death penalty', which tells you that the Shaikh is just a closet liberal really.

Apparently its hoped by the government that the technologically advanced centre, with its relaxed social constraints, will help modernise the kingdom's deeply conservative society. It's so 'liberal' that women are allowed to drive cars in the grounds, and are not required to wear veils in classes. Wow, Risque!
