There are always those who try to out do others at Christmas, usually in giving extravagant presents, or in the level of decorations outside their houses.
I took this picture near where I live, and where Christmas house decoration has been getting decidedly competitive in recent years. I think this monster Santa was the easy winner.
However, equally, there are those who may not be trying hard at all.
I took this picture of a Santa who has definitely gone to the Bad Santa side of the force, and who is used to advertise a Christmas tree sale yard in the centre of Edinburgh. Christmas certainly can be an odd time of the year.
