A woman in Birmingham England had to have surgery on her eyes to remove a 'bluish mass'. Examination found that it was at least 27 disposable contact lens fused together. She had been using contact lens for 35 years, but hadn't always removed them before putting new ones in. The 67 year old had gone in for cataract removal. Reminded me of a lady neighbour of ours when I was a kid, who complained that she had been "eating diet chocolate after every meal" and had put weight on.....

So how does it get done then .... or perhaps more importantly why does anyone get it done?

Anyways, over 10,000 women in the UK will take a test at home on this date. Records indicate that January the 2nd is when the highest number of UK babies are conceived. ...... How many of the women are relieved by the results is a matter of conjecture.

Mind you, as they were using Body Mass Index (BMI), its likely that some very fit muscular people were classed as 'overweight' in the study ..... so take these results with some caution.
