... there is actually some good news!
I am not of course referring to the sort of 'Good News' that the Jehovahs Witnesses like to proclaim .... No, I'm referring to another kind of astrological event good news.

| The Trajectory of Apophis .... |
NASA have determined that one of the most feared asteroids on its books, Apophis (after its discovery and naming in 2004), which it had once been feared could possibly visit and strike Earth real soon, has now had its chances of hitting the Earth marked down. Apophis or Apep, the ancient Egyptian god of Chaos and Darkness was of course, the opponent of Light and Order.
Initially it had been thought that it would run very close by (if not hit), in 2029 and 2036, with another chance in 2068 .... but, and here's the good news, NASA have now tracked its orbit more closely, and decided that in fact the new calculations don't show any actual impact risk for at least the next 100 years!!
Phew .... we have dodged the bullet once again.
Of course the bad news side of this announcement, is that in 101 years its Kerboom Time!! ... Just joking, the evidence actually suggests it won't strike Earth for as far as can be seen. However, it will still come close (or close ish), in 2029, when the asteroid is expected to pass within 32,000 km of the Earth's surface ..... that's about one-tenth of the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
So a close shave in Astrological terms!
