If there is one crime that the general public consistently feel the authorities (especially the courts), let them down on ....

....... its paedophile rapes and murders of children.
Without any doubt, the public wants offenders locked up for the whole of their lives, while politicians consistently dodge the issue, and use the 'Human Rights' of the offenders, the European Courts, and the highly dubious claims of the psychiatric profession that paedophiles can be 'cured' (not a claim that any psychiatrist is prepared to risk their own children on), to justify sentences that let these monsters back out after committing offences that either hint at terrible crimes to come (if not stopped before they happen), or were horrific crimes that should already have got them locked up permanently.
In a case from Germany, but it could be from
anywhere, Christoph K, a known paedophile was arrested and jailed in
Germany, after he donned a wolf-man mask and latex gloves, then stalked
and abducted an 11 year old girl, who he raped. The 45 year old man got
just 12 years from a Munich court in 2021, for this attack (which is
almost criminally lenient for destroying a child's life), but its what we
kind of expect these days. However he was further told that he would be sent to
a secure hospital after completing his prison sentence, and wouldn't be
let out until doctors deemed him to be safe to let out again .... which should be never.
Now what makes this story stand out, is that when he committed this
terrible crime, he had only just been released from a secure psychiatric
hospital/prison for a child attack in 2010. Obviously he had already been
deemed as being safe to release by psychiatric doctors, before this
latest attack.
This story proves once again that it is only the hubris of the psychiatric profession that means paedophiles do not get locked away for life
