It
wouldn't be the Christmas season if I didn't post at least one bad Santa story
.....
Mr Finn, a 71 year
old working as Father Christmas for an entertainment firm in
Northumberland, England. He was dressed as Santa in a pub when smacked
the bottom of one woman, then pushed his groin against her. I assume he wanted her to feel his Santa's sack.
He then
approached another woman in a club, and tried to push his body against
her as well. Both women complained and he was arrested, as well as being
sacked by his employer. When the case came to court, he was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault by a jury at Newcastle Crown Court, and he was sentenced to four months prison (suspended for 18 months).
But
while I am on the subject of costumed criminals, I should point out that some of
these costume stories involve violent thugs, and so have real victims and real consequences. For instance a thug in a Spider Man costume (as well as others dressed as Ali G and another as Batman), knocked out a female ASDA
supermarket worker at a store in Clapham Junction South London after
shouting "Come on bitch".
He
kicked her in the head and then punched her leaving her unconscious on
the ground. She had apparently been grappling with one of his female
companions, who was also in a costume, after he had started kicking out at
other customers .... During the chaotic scenes, a wheelchair user was
pulled away as he swung a punch towards someone on the floor. In the all out
fighting that ensued, weapons were used as one man beat another with a
blunt instrument in his hand, while the Spider Man costumed man was seen
violently swinging a crutch towards someone in the crowd.
When
the police arrived, they arrested two females aged 17 and 18, and two
men aged 35 and 37 for assault. Another man aged 31 was also arrested
for causing bodily harm. They have since been released on bail. Although how is bailing them out on to the streets going to protect anyone from these animals is beyond me.
I
sincerely hope that the judge and court get to see this animal and his
friends in action (as is usual these days, videos are on the web), when they come to trial, because he and his animal pack need to be locked away for a very long time .... but somehow I suspect they won't be.
