Petrol head magazines and websites love nothing more than a 'greatest ever car ....' type of survey.
Oddly The Flintstones Car Is Never Listed |
But they also attract other websites, hoping to attract male participation. I have occasionally featured the results of some of these in this blog, especially as one featured my dads favourite drive, the Citroen DS.
So perhaps it was not a surprise when Uber Eats ran a 'Greatest Cars in Films' poll ... apparently this was part of a promotion whereby they would be delivering the KFC Zinger Popcorn Bucket in famous movie cars such as a Batmobile, the Aston Martin DB5 and the Ghostbusters car.
The results seemed indicative of men of a certain age, as I am sure that most men under 40 wouldn't remember, let alone vote for #3. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! In fact the only reason I am writing a post on this polls results, is that the results looked suspiciously 'fixed' to me, with cars featured, from films that few would have seen in decades:
I mean the Ferrari from Ferris Bueller's Day Off ... or 'the taxi' from Taxi driver ... greatest? iconic? Really?
